When I filed a claim, after they reached out the first time it took a week and half after filing claim for them to answer/call back to get the email for the body shop to send the estimate to. Then continued for another several days before responding to the estimate and looking into costs of the parts needed. Then another several days before approving and supposedly sending a check to me for the claim. We had a total loss a month ago never got a call from appraiser at all. Called total loss dept multiple times never even got a call back had to call until I reached them. Then the agent Ted couldn’t have given a care toward our issue. Then I talked to manager who was even worse neither cared to give us service no real meant apology and spoke down to me. We will be dropping all of our accounts with them they are a terrible company with terrible people!

They actually deserve zero but since that’s not an option I have to go with a one star. Horrible experience, very deceptive , misleading customers. Only one word can describe them the best Scammers. My advice for everyone is STAY AWAY and take your business somewhere else !

I had a horrible accident the night before last. I was told to let Memphis Police Department tow my car. I later found out that was bad advice from the representative. I was told my adjuster would contact me within 24 hours of my accident. I still have not heard from him. Now the office to closed for the weekend. Rental coverage and I still have to be without any transportation for 3 days. I left several messages for my adjuster. Maybe my claim will be important on Monday.

I would NOT recommend National General Insurance Company to anyone who wants a car insurance. They are very unprofessional and ghosters. Here is why. I got hit by a red light runner on June 28th night, filed a claim on June 29th morning, an adjuster called me (@ 7 pm) and left a voice message on June 30th asking me to repeat what I already reported to one of their claim agents. I called back on July 1st but no one answered, I left a message anyway. I called, left messages, and emailed multiple times after the fourth, but no ... read more

I am on week number 9 after filing my hail storm damage on my car. I do not get return phone calls from my adjuster or management. Customer service is terrible.

This company is terrible. I had an agent in Texas that told me I would incur an extra fee to use my credit card to make my first payment when I started my policy. I wound up cancelling a day later bc my renter's insurance let me bundle for a better price. They snatch the money out of my checking account even though I had already cancelled 2 business days before the money even came out. They could have stopped the charge or corrected it to the right amount, and they didn't. When I call to confirm my refund, they start telling... read more

if i could do 0 stars i would. i was in a hit and run over 3 months ago. national general keeps ignoring my calls and emails. 90 days later we are still at the starting line with no resolution and or even a plan to move forward. they don't call you or email you when they are asked to. they are rude and quick to accuse you of a false incident even if you have documents like a police report.
