Take your money elsewhere, do not bother with National General Insurance Company or CostULess for that matter as they lie on purpose with no accountability within themselves or the BBB. We wanted to cancel and take our business elsewhere, we asked what day should we cancel to avoid fee's. They did not reply and told us there would be a cancellation fee that could not be avoided not matter what. They used an old contract from 2017 to justify the fee and ignored the fact the current 2021-2022 contract did not have this fee. Wh... read more

I don’t know how this company is rated as an A+ business by the BBB with a 1.19 star rating. I have an RV that was damaged. It has been over a year since that happened and I still don’t have my RV back repaired. The agent keeps saying “I don’t know what you want me to do.”, “There’s nothing I can do.”, “You have to take it back to the repair shop and deal with them.”. Terrible Company!! Tried to not fix my wife’s car that was hit in an accident by one of their clients. And all the car needed was a rear bumper. Took almost a month to get her car back all because National General wouldn’t cooperate with the body shop in providing the proper funds. They are trash!! Stay Away!!!

I was in an accident and the lady who hit me has national general. They said they would pay my medical bills and settled with me. They have made no attempt to pay them or have me sign a release to have them paid directly to the hospital. I opened a complaint with the insurance commision. Horrible company.

This is about a home insurance claim. Misty J**** handled my claim and was so unprofessional. I have had my policy with them for 15 months now and when i had to use it everything was ok until the claim was paid out for 2500 bucks. well my estimate for repairs was 3000. Misty dismissed my supplemental claim instantly and then ignored my emails for the next week. responded 1 day and then went on vacation for another week. when she returned she took 3 days to respond to multiple messages and was not helpful in the least bit. My policy was due for an automatic renewal. I called a week before the renewal date and said I don't want my policy renewed because I went with a different company. Then I get a bill in the mail for $45.00 and when I called to ask what it was for, they told me it was a cancellation fee. I told them I didn't cancel the policy, I just didn't renew it for another term. Worst insurance company ever. I purchased my car and had it for about a month after someone hit me while pulling out of a private road onto the main road I was driving on. Prior to purchasing my policy, I went through a 3rd party who had my household information pre-filled into the forms. I was under the guise that everything was accounted for. Coke to find out my claim was denied and I was dropped for being told I didn’t put every family member on the policy.

I would give- stars if I could. I am not insured by National General insurance but was hit by someone who carried national general insurance. Not only did the claims associate Jennifer B**** lie to me about not being able to contact the person who hit me, they then expect me to pay out of MY pocket for a rental and wait for reimbursement.
