I have never in my life been so dissatisfied. I got on with this company through an agent. I was quoted 444.44 per month for two cars. The next month the bill went up because they stated that I did not provide them with proof of prior insurance it was initially sent but at this point, I was told the insurance would go up by $20. The next month I was told that the policy would go up again because I now live with my parents and I needed to exclude them from being drivers on the account and that would cost an additional $50 per... read more

The Company has reviewed our file, and while we understand our Insured’s concerns, we maintain that the adjusted premium was appropriate as items requested were not received, and additional household members were not disclosed at inception. The Company will consider reinstatement of coverage, and we ask that the Insured contact their agent if they have any further concerns.
Worst customer service ever… Have 3 vehicles fully covered with them & recently had an accident. Life happens… that’s why we pay for insurance… They towed the totaled vehicle in question weeks ago… however no calls, no communication via email, snail mail or orherwise!! You have my personally property, yet no settlement efforts have been made in order for me to be made whole & get a replacement vehicle. They charged me for roadside assistance since I signed up end I finally call to use it. They never showed and are refusing to discount my insurance after they dosh uphold their agreement made by them and myself the consumer to be provided the services I selected when signing up. 3 representative hung up on me or disconnected the call. NATIONAL GENERAL ACCIDENT & HEALTH INSURANCE POLICIES ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF!! This company has paid $0 towards my annual wellness and preventive health care visits such as mammogram, pap smear, colonoscopy. I was told this was covered on my policy and I'm receiving notices that ALL of my claims are being denied! This is FRAUD! My premiums were auto-deducted and paid on time $500+ per month! THE WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER! do not recommend! One of their insurance policy holders hit me in an accident. Horrible communication, didn’t want to pay for all of the damages their insurance policy holders caused. I've dealt with horrible Incompetent people at every step of the way. It's taken over a year for my claim to go through and they have done everything to stretch it out for as long as they can. That way it goes past 365 day mark. An incredibly shady company. Not a single good thing to say about them. Don’t ever get insurance through them!
The worst insurance I've ever had in my life and I'm 62. They challenge and don't pay any bills so everything clogs up and the companies start hounding you to pay. They aske for explanations on every physician visit and they they don't get a timely response so they don't pay. It's honestly a big huge game to NOT PAY. It is unfortunate that you have to leave one star before you can leave a review. I would prefer to give zero. They are without a doubt the worst claims company I have ever encountered in my 55 years of driving. I have seen several comments were National General will say this is what it is because we say it is what it is. That is my problem in a nutshell. They refuse to discuss anything. Absolutely horrible. Whatever you pay for their insurance, it it is too much.
