National General has been the absolute WORST company to deal with. One of their customers totaled my vehicle in the parking lot of my work June 10th, she ended up totaling my bosses vehicle as well as her own. When I had to file a claim over a catalytic converter theft it took about a month before I got a green light to send it to mechanic, which meant a month of not working for me and having to listen to their hold recording about how if you do file a claim it will be quick and speedy. “Speedy my ***”. Who all wants to start a civil claim against this fraudulent company? First off, I thought I was dealing with Safe Auto, at least that’s what the letter head on my monthly says. Very disappointed at myself for not reading the reviews before having this insurance, in this couple of months I have been stress and worries due to the same situations, in July they charged me twice for two month which I didn’t approved I immediately called them and the response was “very sorry but we can’t give you a refund the only way it can be refunded is if I call my bank and make a dispute” I called the bank did exactly what they told me to and I ended up paying even more because they reversed more than two months. The scheduled automated payment for June was requested from your checking account. A credit card payment was then submitted for the same amount the next day. I have a Safe Auto Premium Disclosure Notice dated 03/22/2022 stating Total premium of $290.00. Auto Insurance Policy Declarations 03/09/2022 showing a total 6 Month policy at $382.00 Then on an undated Premium Disclosure Notice you stated a "Total Premium Per vehicle" at $360.00 with a print date located at the bottom of the notice of 08/12/2022 reflecting a $48.00 increase in Bodily Injury Liability. $28.00 increase in Property Damage Liability and $22.00 increase in First Party Benefits Medical Expenses. This company is THE WORST! I have been calling, emailing, leaving messages, reaching out to supervisors, escalating my case, and anything else I could possibly do. I have not heard a single response back from the 4 different people I have reached out to (my claim adjuster, and his supervisors). The representative that helped me today,Christy, was very kind and pleasant to talk to ,about helping me with my policy change today. She was very thorough and followed the safety policy to insure it wasn't someone else trying to change my policy. She was very informant and efficient. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after reading some of these . . I can see what kind of company this is. I have had NatGen for a few months now, and was on auto-pay. Today I get a call that says I need to make a payment. After speaking with the rep, he informed me that they attempted to take the payment out but were not able to do so. He could not tell me why, but said that it was NOT due to insufficient funds. Now in order to keep my discounted amount, I would have to re-enroll in auto-pay and pay a late fee.
