This company renews policies without consent. I returned the car in August of 2022 and when I cancelled the insurance in September they continue to take money out of my account up to the recent month of February 2023 even though the car has not been in my possession since August. When I spoke to someone about it in January of 2023 to bring it to their attention so they can refund the monies that had been withdrawn after I asked for it to be canceled I could hear them laughing in the background, very unprofessional. TERRIBLE! My husband and myself were in an accident on 10/27/22. We did everything we were supposed to do. Mind you we were the ones that got hit. We spoke to reps from Direct Insurance the same time the police were writing the report. Were told our adjuster Lalinda W*********, would contact us within 24 hrs. NO ONE CALLED. It is now Feb 17th 2023 and still no one had contacted us. We've been with the company over 10 yrs with no accidents, tickets of anything else. This has to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I had a single car accident on Dec. 21, filed the claim the next day. The agent Chris H*** was very kind and helpful. The adjuster that came out was also helpful. She ended up totaling my 2014 jeep Cherokee even though it was still drivable. It was my only means of transportation as I did not pay the extra $10 for rental coverage when I got the policy. I always ment to go back and get it but I forgot. I have been waiting on a resolution to a policy since 9/30/2022 , they claimed my representatives have quit/been fired . However , I waited on the phone with a new respresentive for an hour until the new agent was available and he still did not take my call . I am beyond frustrated ! they have dodged my calls , not called back and lied to me at this point.

Started policy cancelled and never received refund was told 7 to 10 business days but waited til 7th day called back and was told no check was cut and to dispute with my bank very unprofessional and mid leading conversation with all representatives like they are quick to take your money and slow to give it back

Customer service was horrible when I was broken down on the side of the road it took multiple phone calls and over 2 hrs for me to get through...I'm still waiting for a tow truck to be dispatched..one of the agents was very rude and had horrible customer service

Just was charged $199 dollars for a charge that I have not received a bill for and the operator spent 45 min trying to figure out what for. in the state of florida you have to carry insurance on your car or you loose your license my policy would of canceled today if I didn’t pay this amount that was after making a 306 dollar monthly payment guess what this company just ripped me out of the 199 dollars for nothing I thAught it was for normal price increase it just shows the average joe cannot win against the big time companie... read more

I wish I could give them negative stars. They are horrible, essentially nonverbal regarding communication. My accident was in October 2022, and it still hasn’t been settled. My lien holder is waiting on them to finalize the claim. I’m going to try to call corporate at this point.

I would rate NEGATIVE stars if I could. Sales rep WILL LIE to you to sign a policy The customer service reps also LIE about how they’re handling your situation. I was overcharged over $400 because my sales rep JORDAN failed to inform me of submitting documents and told me I didn’t need to log trips all i do is download the app routley for the discount. I spoke to MARY MCCURDY who LIED and said they were investigating the phone call so that my money i over paid could be credited forward to the next month. She transferred me t... read more
