WARNING!!! Horrible insurance company!!! Stay far away!! OVER PRICED! Customer service is incompetent!!! This company needs to re train their employees and how they conduct their business. I had the hardest time canceling my insurance. You can't just call and cancel they put you through so many obstacles! After being on the phone with them for over an hour!!! Opened a new policy with them. Found a much better rate and canceled with Direct less than 24 hours later. Charging me a $36 fee. On top of that, they were quick to take the money out of my bank account, but won’t refund the balance the same way. Making me wait for a check. Never getting any business from me!

CLAIM HAS BEEN IN ON STOLEN MOTOR HOME FOR OVER 6 MONTHS, NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN EXCEPT TO GET LET US KNOW THAT AGENTS ARE OUT FOR MONTHS ON END HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A GREENSBORO MERCEDES DEALER TO FIX THE STEERING COLUMN THAT WAS IN MID FEBRUARY, IT IS NOW MID MARCH 21 BEEN THRU 3 AGENTS ONE MIA FOR A ENTIRE MONTH NO ONE BOTHERED TO FOLLOW UP THEN ANOTHER AGENT WITH MORE BS ! Worst company EVER!!! Called to cancel my policy bc my they kept adding off the wall charges and couldn't explain it. Needed only liability on my car and found out they had changed it to full coverage. They just do as they please. Shopped around and found rates at more than half what they were charging and decided to go through them. Call to cancel Direct Auto and was told that if I cancelled with them they would be sure the DMV would be notified that I had been without insurance for the last 30 days. This company is terrible. I got rear-ended by one of their insureds on a clear day with unlimited visibility, on a level road, in broad daylight. Luckily I was able to subrogate the damage through my name brand insurance. When I had to deal with National General was rental car coverage. Name brand coverage was great, and by industry standard they pay 85% a day toward the rental, maximum of 30 days, no questions asked. Worst and most unprofessional insurance company and adjuster I've ever dealt with. They falsify ACV of my truck they did not operate or negotiate in good faith. They discredit all the factual data I submitted to then relevant to the total loss claim. They would not negotiate any all on the offer they made me which was below NADA trade un value on my truck. Horrible service u guys dropped me off from insurance when clearly I was the one driving, your excuse was that my brother wasn’t on the insurance but that was clearly told to u guys when I applied you guys used that excuse after I got into an accident and the lady that was at fault had no insurance so u guys dropped me out of it and returned my money it’s not right what u guys did I was paying for the insurance. THEY SUCK!!!! I PAYED MY POLICY ALL UP FRONT THEY STATE I AM LATE ON A PAYMENT .I AM NOT ..I HAVE MY MONEY ORDER RECIEPT TO PROVE I PAYED ..STILL IM LATE.. Worst customer service I have experienced. January 7,2022 I was in an accident (not my fault). The person who hit me this is his insurance company. I have been calling and calling lm,leaving voicemails over and over,getting transferred, and keep getting the run around. Here I am 03-15-2023 and still nothing .
