National general is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with I had a total loss of a Dodge Challenger 2013 that was after they've estimated it worth less than my Dodge charger that they totaled out that was older than my Challenger and how that happens I have no idea nobody would call us back about our claim at all I've been calling for a week and then when you do get somebody they're rude as hell you get them to do anything the freaking copart called wanting to pick up my car before anybody talk to us about anything... read more
Negative 5 stars. They never call back, my car has been stuck in the shop over a month and I have full coverage so they’ve been avoiding me to avoid paying for my repairs. I wasn’t at fault and the other driver has cheap insurance that only dishes out $3,000 somehow. Nonetheless, I have full coverage and shouldn’t have to pay $1,700 because this company doesn’t want to.
Worst company ever when you need them. No problem to collect monthly payment though. My car was totaled and they gave me the lowest comps for payout. They were about 3000 off of actual value. Without a car for a month now but they don’t care. Emailed, left voice messages with minimal response. Debbie A****** was the total loss person and she sucks. She needs to be fired for no communication and no urgency. I would like to see her without a car for over a month. Horrible!!!
WORST INSURANCE EVER! HIGH PRICE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DO NOT LISTEN O CUSTOMER! I CALLED BEFORE MY 6MO RENEWAL TO END MY POLICY CAUSE I HAD PURCHASED A CHEAPER AFFORDABLE INSURANCE YES WITH GETTOGGLE WITH *******! THEY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT $598 ANYHOW. Worst car insurance company Ever.My car was insured Full Coverage.O had no rental Plus my car was totaled.Hit from behind.Guy hit me twice crossed a medium down an embankment..Direct paid for half the price ofu car.. still without a vehicle.Paying for a car that's who knows where..Worst Svc ever.The adjuster never answered my calls..Bad Service.
My wife was hit by a car that had stopped for her at a crosswalk and then rear ended by a car insured by Direct General. She was on a new bicycle and the bicycle was totaled. We have been trying to deal with Direct for 6 weeks. She has had 4-5 different adjusters who never answer the phone and do not return calls. On line the claim states that it is open. We are totally put out by their nonresponse. We have even been to the local Direct agent and she was not able to get any information. If I could leave a 0 I would do that.
I prefer to give -10 stars ?? My catalytic converter was stolen from my vehicle (full coverage) while it was parked at home. I was given the run around from day 1. Veronika from claims asked me a bunch a questions, which I guess is the norm, if I'm going through financial problems, if i know who couldve stolen the part, and about driving for a rideshare company. Absolutely worst service ever when calling and asking for an agent you will not get one. I don’t even know if they have agents. I’d like to see some proof because. they said I don’t have one, I can talk to an associate/ adjuster no license not a clue when it comes to customer service, but they’re very knowledgeable that’s what I’m quoted. Garbage insurance company. drove 8 years without having any accidents, never missed a payment. Still they raised my premium every time they had a chance. No reason i should be paying so much for being a good driver. Worst part is they charged me the same amount for canceling as a whole payment of a month. Paying 116$ just to cancel your policy and not be covered is literal theft. Didn't get any emails or alerts despite being on paperless for 3 years.
