Ruby s Diner was established in 1980, after junior-high buddies Doug Cavanaugh and Ralph Kosmides renovated a dilapidated building on the end of Balboa Pier in Newport Beach, Calif. The 1940s-style restaurant, which was located in a former bait shop, became an immediate hit, taking in $600,000 in the first year. In the second year, sales exceeded $1 million. My husband and myself had breakfast and it was really good. Our eggs were cooked perfectly. Our server was friendly and quick. We enjoyed my birthday breakfast 100% �

A long over due review for this Ruby's local that is our absolute fave! My family n I have been going here for years. My boys have had many birthdays here since they were little. And as older teens still ♡it. Through all these hundreds of visits the service has always been consistently wonderful, welcoming and done with a smile. And I love that it's always clean. :-D

Came on car show night. Cool place. Great food and fun
We had our Mother's day late lunch at Ruby's. Samantha was amazing looking after us. The diner was spotless, the food was amazing and we all left with very full tummies. The rose for each mom was the cherry on top of a great experience.
