I love Ruby Hospital. I retired from this hospital,and have been a patient there different times.Great caring staff would not think of going anywhere else.We are lucky to have a Level I Trauma center in our area.
on 09/01/19 i was rushed to the emergency room by some of the staff members the works mountian state hare scramble cross country racing series. I have no clue as to my state or health at this time. I have a collapsed lung and 9 broken ribs and my breast bone as well along with a tear in my heart. I would like to Thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of me. Rushed down to Ruby from Allegany County at 1AM because my Husband started feeling funny after taking his medication. He has severe Chronic Gout. The Gout crystals are literally oozing out of his fingers and knees that’s how bad it is. While checking in he looks at the man and says “Please don’t make me wait to long, I’m really scared”. We waited 2 hours in the waiting room then decided to just leave. The only way you will be seen is if your having a heart attack, stroke, or come by ambulance. I had twins they both were in nicu and the treatment and care we have gotten as parents has been horrible they even called cys on us bc we can't afford the hotel for weeks ($180/night) we had to make a fuss and scene asking for doc 6x they called security in my husband as a result and now he has to go thru security checks before he can see his daughter every visit and they don't know they're own policies. dont go to ruby!!
My wife went today to the Neurological department where she met with a intern that said my wife had ms... the attending came in and was rude made fun of my wife and informed her she has seizures.... I’m with my wife 99% of the time and also trained to detect/deal with seizures there is no way my wife has them.... it’s so sad that people are more worried about money than dealing with serious issues that people have!!!!
Ruby memorial has an amazing staff the doctors are excellent and take really good care of you. They definitely know what they're doing.
my son was born there they have good drs and nurse in the NICU my son was 4 lbs when he come home — with Melissa Amos.
