Called them, same day service on a Monday for my mothers home, clogged kitchen drain. I asked them to have service person call me before with a price, as my 85 yr old mom is extremely hard of hearing. This was not done. The service person rooted the drain in les than 25 minutes and charged her 500.00. A local company would have been half that amount. Will never use again, prices are outrageous!

First I'd like to start with the service I had with a different tech from another location from this company was great. I called and requested him to but I was given other employees. Now onto my situation. I called the Saturday morning before Easter with an issue and had a supervisor over to inspect what was happening. He told me a plumber would be by in a few hours to take a look. You guys are the worst! We called at 12 in the afternoon, you gave us a time from 5-9pm. Ticket # ********. The guy shows up at 10:35pm and could barely speak English and was complaining how far he had to travel and that he doesn't take care of our Area, very unprofessional! Then he asked if we have any tools and he us asked us for a hammer to open our main drain and gave us a price of $550 to snake the drain and another $300 to snake the toilet and replace the toilet ring. Absolutely ridiculous company. 2pm was told 2 hour window with 30 min notice. at 5pm Nothing was heard. Called and they said there was no appointment. I'm super frustrated and asked for manager and they found account. At that time was told " Running behind trying to get someone out there" 2 more hours went by it's 7pm Still nothing. At 730pm I was told they would be there soon. 8pm they show up and how much they charged for the issue brought to hand. Worst experience ever! The situation was so wrong and complex that don't know where to start from. A few lowlights: sent service to our home without our request or confirmation, charged significantly more than what quoted (20 mins job), super rude and offensive customer service. We were expecting another company to come to our home and Roto-Rooter benefited from the confusion. BE AWARE! MAJOR RIP-OFF! Their technicians are a joke and this company is only interested in pulling as much money out of your pocket as possible by making up defects and/or over-exaggerating the problem. We had a fairly simple blockage in the kitchen and called Roto-rooters since we’re both very busy at work and didn’t had time to deal with it. My 95 year old mother had an issue with a sewer overflowing in her finished basement. Since it was 8:30 at night and Roto-Rooter said they had 24 hour service I called them. The problem was resolved by 3:30 a.m. and they had made sure to dispatch a man selling their Water Restoration services (before the technician). Not knowing what to do in this situation we signed a contract with them to move furniture, apply protection to prevent cross contamination, extract water, remove and dispose damaged walls, ceilings, flooring. Rotorooter's Water Mitigation department has an over-zealous admin named Melissa who keeps contacting me although I've asked her not to. She insists she has every right to contact me since I owe them money. I do not owe them money, my landlady does, and as far as I understand from her, she's already contacted Rotorooter and is dealing with the issue. It is to bad I had to leave a star to these thieves. I called them because my sewer was backed up. They gave me a few options and when I when I went with the most expensive to make sure everything was working he then went to the basement and acted like he couldn't do the work and called his manager. When the manager came to my property he assured that everything was busted that my clay pipes were no longer because they were clay and that everything needed to be replaced.
