Roto Rooter came to my house due to a toilet back up on 6/26/20 and they charged me $680 to clear my main sewer line and by pulling up the toilet (that is it they did nothing else). Then they charged me $520 to put camera down the sewer to see what the issue was. There were roots in my sewer line. The issue I had with this how much they charge was just to get a diagnosis of the issue. I truly hate writing a bad review of any company as we run a family business. However, Roto Rooter is by far the worst company we have EVER dealt with. We had a horrible flood in our basement during the pandemic and in an emergency had to call Roto Rooter after water was pumped out to see where the problem was coming from. Expensive, however problem fixed two other companies could not fix correctly. Nathan wore mask and gloves very nice and thorough Assured me there is 6 month guarantee explained everything he was going to do and why. Recommend highly! Kitchen drain not draining was reason for call.

Long story short: Overpriced! Late! Unprofessional! Not practicing COVID-19 precautions! Full story: I scheduled online for an appointment today from 12:00-2:00, which was confirmed by email and text. At 1:30 I received a text saying the technician was on the way. When no one had arrived by 2:00 I called and was told Jeff was 15 minutes away. Roto Rooter Colorado Springs rips you off. I had a new shower/ tub valve installed and they charged me $1200 dollars. The plumber made over $300 per hour just in labor. SO in under 3 hours they made $934 in labor alone. The guy was here for 2 hours and 40 minutes and half of that time was him going to get the parts. After talking with some other company's the job would have been anywhere from $500-700 with parts and labor. So Roto rooter charged double that of other reputable places. I was totally disappointed with the service I received from Roto-Rooter. The first time it cost me over $250.00 and the guy did what he had to do. A week later my sewer clogged up in a different place and I got a different guy and he charged me over $475.00. He cleared the line and told me I needed to replace the whole line. It clogged up the next day and he came back. He would not clear the line and said he wanted $6500.00. 03.14.2020 Troy Ohio Roto Rooter came d/t a leak in our upstairs bathroom on the week end. Manager called insurance while at my house, stated all services will be covered including asbestos testing. I questioned if I should personally call on Monday to verify coverage of all services, he stated no, I just did while at your house. Had a claim number etc. He stated again the asbestos cost would be $400 with full coverage. The asbestos company came out and tested. Buyer beware! We had a failed sump pump that flooded our basement. We used Roto-Rooter for sump pump replacement and water mitigation. There were many issues, which led to our job taking much longer than it should have, as well as the final cost being excessively high. Once Roto-Rooter saw that it was an emergency, and that we had insurance, they really took advantage. If I could have chosen 0 stars I would have. We called Roto-Rooter to come take a look at what we assumed to be a sewage leak in the line going from our house to the street. The plumber came out to look and informed us he had never seen anything like it, and that the pipe was 6 inches under ground which is not to code. He checked with his supervisor and said that because it existed before the code, he could repair it and estimated about $2400-$3,000 to replace that piece of the pipe.
