The most important aspect of treating disorders of the hand and upper extremity is making an accurate diagnosis and then instituting the most conservative, least invasive and effective treatment algorithm. Most patients I see do NOT require surgery and can be cured with simple measures. I employ a team of nurses and cetified hand therapists all of whom share the goal of obtaining the best outcome we can, and returning our patients to work and play effectively and quickly

From my first encounter with Dr. Bernstein I knew I was in good hands. I had broken my wrist and needed immediate care. I was in the ER and he was on the phone with the Doctors telling them exactly what he wanted them to do until I could get in to see him. I needed surgery and could not be happier with the outcome. Level of professionalism and care in all three offices is high and consistent. Dr. Bernstein takes time to listen to my "complaint(s)" and opinions, assess the problem, and thoroughly explain treatment options as well as his recommendation for resolving the problem. His conservative approach, with possible surgery as last option, is much appreciated.
