About this business

The most important aspect of treating disorders of the hand and upper extremity is making an accurate diagnosis and then instituting the most conservative, least invasive and effective treatment algorithm. Most patients I see do NOT require surgery and can be cured with simple measures. I employ a team of nurses and cetified hand therapists all of whom share the goal of obtaining the best outcome we can, and returning our patients to work and play effectively and quickly

Dr. Bernstein operated on my left hand for carpel tunnel and considerable weakness in my thumb and fingers. Dr. Bernstein explained the procedure he was about to perform very thoroughly and thoughtfully. The operation was without incident and my recovery was smooth and is continuing. His follow-up after the operation is still ongoing. He is an excellent surgeon and I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone with a hand problem!

The staff and doctor were polite and friendly. I was nervous and they put me at ease answering all of my questions in a non-judgmental manner. I am now looking forward to a full recovery.

I have seen Dr. Bernstein for two trigger thumbs over a period of time, one resulting in surgery. He is very nice and compassionate, explains things thoroughly and answers all questions. My surgery went well, the staff is very efficient. I highly recommend him.

I was in the ER and he was on the phone with the Doctors telling them exactly what he wanted them to do until I could get in to see him. I needed surgery and could not be happier with the outcome. It cut my healing time in half. He is genuis with his surgery. I followed through with PT and today only after four months you would never know I broke my wrist. Even though he sees hundreds of patients for all di... read more
