Most patients I see do NOT require surgery and can be cured with simple measures. I employ a team of nurses and cetified hand therapists all of whom share the goal of obtaining the best outcome we can, and returning our patients to work and play effectively and quickly

One visist to the Branford office. The professional and health care staff were very efficient and quick. The diagnosis and small procedure, was clearly explained and quickly perfomed. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Bernstein's practice.
Dr. Bernstein has proformed surgeries on both of my hands. He is great at explaining what the issues are and what alternatives are available. He has wonderful bedside manners, and a great sense of humor to put you at ease while at the same time remaining very professional. I totally recommend Dr. Bernstein to anyone who has hand issues and may requires hand surgery.
Dr. Bernstein has treated carpal tunnel in both hands with skillfull surgeries. He has also treated trigger finger in each hand. His staff is caring and efficient in all aspect of care. I trust that Dr. Bernstein is a knowledgeable and extremely skilled surgeon as well as a kind and caring physician. Dr. Bernstein is not only an attentive and effective doctor, he is approachable, explains his diagnosis completely and ensures the patient understands the condition and available treatment options. I would highly recommend him to anyone who could benefit from his care.
Dr. Bernstein took care of my trigger fingers on several occasion. His ability to inject cortisone was absolutely painless. He has a great manner as well.
For the back to back carpal tunnel surgeries (each hand) my experience was outstanding. Everyone involved made the experience stress free. From the check-in, prep, surgery, recovery to the follow up (the surgeon called the next day to see how I was feeling....!!) I couldn't have been in better hands!

I saw Dr. Bernstein for Dupytrens Contracture. He took time to thoroughly explain the condition and the treatment options. His team is not only friendly, but also clearly experienced and efficient in all aspects of the process from appointment scheduling, insurance verification to the actual treatment and follow up. I actually had the procedure on each of my hands at different times and the experience was the same in each case.
