Hopefully you never need hand surgery, but if you do, don’t hesitate to see Dr. Bernstein. I met Dr. Bernstein about 20 years ago after my wife broke her wrist and required a plate. I have been a patient of Dr. Richard A. Bernstein for approximately 7 months due to a carpel tunnel issue on my right hand. The Branford office personnel were very courteous and friendly. Dr. Bernstein performed the surgery in June, 2023 which went very well with very little discomfort after the surgery. There were pre-op visits for planning purposes as well as post-op visits to follow up on the recovery process. Had a full LH hip replacement performed by Dr Irving at St Vincents Medical Center in July. Dr Irving was very professional, explained the procedure, and did an excellent job performing the hip replacement. Two weeks after surgery my physical therapist said my mobility range was excellent and gave credit to the surgeon. Five weeks after the procedure I was playing golf.
Dr. Gerisole performed lumbar spine fusion surgery in April and I am very pleased with results. I have returned to most normal activities without the discomfort and numbness previously experienced. Great surgeon with great results. Highly Recommend!

I was in so much pain for years with my left hip bone on bone. I interviewed a number of doctors for my procedure and knew right away that Dr. John Irving was the doctor and St. Vincent's was the choice for me. His bed side manner and his interaction with me was great. Dr. Irving is a kind, very professional doctor who excels in his field. I cannot stress enough what a difference my knee replacement and physical therapy made—so much so that I can honestly say that I’m excited to have the second knee done because the first is an astounding improvement.
