The most important aspect of treating disorders of the hand and upper extremity is making an accurate diagnosis and then instituting the most conservative, least invasive and effective treatment algorithm. Most patients I see do NOT require surgery and can be cured with simple measures. I employ a team of nurses and cetified hand therapists all of whom share the goal of obtaining the best outcome we can, and returning our patients to work and play effectively and quickly

I was suffering with left hand Carpal Tunnel. My left hand was numb for a good part of the day. I would drop things. I couldn't hold my phone or anything else for that matter. The hand would become numb & then painful. At night I would wake up every 2 hours with a numb & painful hand. Dr. Bernstein performed surgery & now my left hand is good as new. I call him "The Miracle Worker!" Thank you Dr. Bernstein!!!!!!
I saw Dr. Bernstein for 2 issues. First an arthritic thumb which required surgery. He took the time to evaluate everything, explained my options. Was attentive and thorough. Did the surgery and all the follow ups. Was a great experience overall (if you consider needing surgery a great experience). Also saw him for a sore shoulder. That one only needed physical therapy and some medication. Very pleased with both outcomes.
Yes, Dr. Bernstein is the best!! I had a very serious hand/ wrist injury and he did an incredible job putting all the pieces back together. Dr. Bernstein is caring, good listener, and gentle with your hand. 5 stars for me
Office ,staff and doctor Bernstein excellent in every way
This man is in a big hurry. Not a lot of questions asked. I did not feel like he actually knew what was wrong with my fingers and/or wrist. It seemed as if he did not believe me or understand me when I explained my pain. I've been to many specialist over my many years. He has one of the worst bedside manners I've ever experienced. Not sure of his reputation and/or surgical skill except by reading 4.6 for recommendations! Don't think he is the Doctor for me. I "tell it like it is" and that IS the way it WAS for me in Jan2021.... read more
Dr. Bernstein did surgery on 2 trigger fingers on my right hand. We had several visits and treatments prior to the surgery and the whole process and options were explained thoroughly. I am extremely pleased with the results and Dr. Bernstein's professional manner.
I had a long history of numbness in my fingers. Everyone told me I needed surgery but Dr. Bernstein cured my numbness without surgery. I highly recommend this doctor
Friendly helpful. Fixed me up in no time. The staff was also very helpful. I've been a repeat customer since I had issues with both of biceps.
After a badly broken wrist, Dr. Bernstein did an awesome job fixing the wrist and getting me back to work and activities. I never thought that I would be able to use my wrist as good.
