Dr. Bernstein diagnosed Dupuytren’s Contracture on the small finger of my left (non-dominant) hand. He provided careful and conservative monitoring of the progression of the contracture and gave me an intelligent explanation of the prognosis and different treatment options. I went to Dr. Bernstein because I had developed life-changing multiple chemical sensitivities. Dr. Bernstein documented in my records that I have anxiety and he recommended counseling. He is not a mental health professional and so not qualified to make such a diagnosis. I have never been diagnosed with anxiety and he never recommended counseling. It was wonderful. I had trigger thumb on my right hand and after an x-ray, he gave me a cortisone shot. He explained the procedure, was thorough, answered all my questions and made me feel relaxed. His staff is professional and efficient and told me if I had any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to call.
Recently was treated by Dr. Bernstein for a broken thumb with subsequent surgery and rehabilitation. Throughout the 12 week process, Dr. Bernstein was always attentive, knowledgeable and highly responsive to any questions or concerns. His staff was equally friendly and helpful.
I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Bernstein and his team for the exceptional care I received. From the very first consultation to my recovery, Dr. Bernstein demonstrated remarkable professionalism and expertise. I had hand surgery at Ct Orthopedic done by Dr Bernstein, I was having difficulty with several trigger fingers, daily activity was extremely difficult. 10 years ago had 2 rounds of injections in my ring finger from a Dr. in NY with no improvement. The contractures continued to worsen in my ring and small finger and I had a surgery consultation with Dr. Bernstein about 13 months ago. Surgery on both fingers completed a year ago. Excellent improvement for me from what the Dr. said was one of his most complicated Duputryn’s operations. I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein and all his staff - particularly Kathleen who did a fantastic job handling all my PT.
He made an offensive comment regarding our marriage during an office visit. He feels entitled. He misrepresented my condition and did not help resolve the issue.
I have seen Dr. Bernstein for a couple of different issues over several years. I have come to him time and again because he is a wonderful physician. Dr. takes his time to examine my problems and tries simple, non-invasive methods before he goes to surgery. He is cautious and thoroughand takes his time to communicate his ideas and possible plans in complete detail.
