The most important aspect of treating disorders of the hand and upper extremity is making an accurate diagnosis and then instituting the most conservative, least invasive and effective treatment algorithm. Most patients I see do NOT require surgery and can be cured with simple measures. I employ a team of nurses and cetified hand therapists all of whom share the goal of obtaining the best outcome we can, and returning our patients to work and play effectively and quickly

I had hand surgery at Ct Orthopedic done by Dr Bernstein, I was having difficulty with several trigger fingers, daily activity was extremely difficult. Now I have complete movement of my hands post surgery. I got wonderful care and would recommend Dr. Bernstein for hand and arm orthopedic care.Ceil Belenardo
10 years ago had 2 rounds of injections in my ring finger from a Dr. in NY with no improvement. The contractures continued to worsen in my ring and small finger and I had a surgery consultation with Dr. Bernstein about 13 months ago. Surgery on both fingers completed a year ago. Excellent improvement for me from what the Dr. said was one of his most complicated Duputryn’s operations. I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein and all his staff - particularly Kathleen who did a fantastic job handling all my PT.
He made an offensive comment regarding our marriage during an office visit. He feels entitled. He misrepresented my condition and did not help resolve the issue.
I have seen Dr. Bernstein for a couple of different issues over several years. I have come to him time and again because he is a wonderful physician. Dr. takes his time to examine my problems and tries simple, non-invasive methods before he goes to surgery. He is cautious and thoroughand takes his time to communicate his ideas and possible plans in complete detail. Dr. Barnstein was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything to me in a language I could easily understand. I would recommend him for any hand wrist issues. I was very satisfied with the results and follow up after surgery and the practice has an excellent PT department.
From the minute you walk into the office you are met with friendly, professional, wonderful staff. Never wait for an appointment. Everyone is so accommodating from the front staff, to all the staff. Great interdisciplinary team. Dr. Bernstein always met you with a wonderful and caring smile and a wealth of knowledge. Couldn’t have asked for better care for my wrist than I received.
Dr. Bernstein is outstanding! He did surgery on each of my wrists - one I broke (and needed a plate to repair it) and the other I had arthritis and a ruptured tendon. Both surgeries went very well - wrists are 100%. Not only is Dr. Bernstein a skilled surgeon, he is caring, compassionate, and he listens. I highly recommend Dr. Bernstein!!
I had a very uncomfortable experience at my first appointment with Dr. Bernstein and his staff. I had asked for a note in the medical history about my ability of not being able to travel due to my injuries; I needed it to request refunds for upcoming travel, which they said they could accommodate. Very knowledgeable. Surgery went very well along with PT. Dr. Bernstein is an outstanding doctor and surgeon. I highly recommend him.
