Rent a center took 2 weeks to finally get a product in my hands because they did not contact me for days following my initial inquiry and apparent start of my agreement. By the time they did, my phone had broken and I had no means of contact. I finally set things up and was to pick my phone up, which I was told would be in at 2:30pm. I arrive and no phone was there. We've used their rent to own options for many many years due to falling on hard times, causing damage to our credit. We gave them excellent business with payments on time until recently with Covid they set up auto pay which was actually more convenient; we didn't need to call in payments to them on the due date. I received a voice mail on a Saturday to call them while traveling out of state for a funeral so due to dealing with that emergency I wasn't able to return their call the same day. Bobs Discount Furniture-Acceptance Now -Please do not use them as financing for furniture, You will pay 5 times the amount for non-quality furniture. If you miss any of your payments-you will pay extra fees & penalties. Hard to negotiate any terms with this company if you are in financial distress, They will harassas you with constant calling & voicemails if you are even 1 day late to make arrangements to pick up the furniture. I would not advise anyone to do business with this company. This is a very dishonest business. I logged in to my account to make a payment and it shows a payoff balance which I paid half of. The online balance never changed. When I call in they tell me I still owe over 1,000.00 and the online balance is the early payoff amount. The website does not indicate that it is an early pay off amount it simply gives you a balance. When I called the representative kept repeating what's in the contract. Rent-A-Center is a rip off they don't like to keep their end of things when you buy expensive products like washing machines or expensive TVs if they break down and you have complications with it and it starts to be a big hassle they won't refund you your money and they won't fix things the way they supposed to be fixed they sell you junk and make you pay double then what it's worth just a horrible business to do business at would not recommend it for anybody a bunch of ripoffs

Horrible!!! The guy Chris that works at the location in Aurora, IL came to our house knocking viscously on our glass door! And rang the doorbell excessively! He was so disrespectful and very racist to my family. I feel he is not safe to be in this type of working facility and should be fired or sent to a further location, but if this is the type of people you want on your team I will no longer refer friends and colleagues to you all. If you are looking for a "Lease to Own Company"...LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. This company is the worst, and I for one...will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!!! Also, this page requires that you provide a "Star Rating"...which is the reason that they get 1 Star from me...which i would rather Not give them any Stars!!!

I have many concerns of defamation of character with my experience as a PAST customer. Recently my husband rented a laptop which I still can't wrap around; how any customer can walk out with any merchandise and the conglomerate doesn't collect any form of payment or down payment.
