I was advised my balance is $155.48 I paid 86. Then called the store to pay the difference and close off my account now I'm told I owe $115 WHAT, This is not right by balance should be roughly 60 dollars, Why you scammers taking excessive fees from low income families its is unconstitutional

My recommended store was in the bronx despite living in Harlem I was told they couldn't help me and transferred it over to the store in ******************* I called them and immediately they started with the goon behalf that Manhattan businesses are infamous for claimant that it wasn't transferred and that I need to redo my application and pay another fee which I did. May 21,2021 I purchased furniture at Value City Furniture through acceptance now. I had no idea the company is actually rent a center. I wouldn't have bothered. Not only did I have to start paying for the furniture before I even received it, but I later learned that my bill was being padded with extra fees for services that I declined. After calling the store to dispute this I later learned that only 1 of the extra fees was removed from my account. The signed contract that I have makes no mention of it either. This company let's employees be rude to customers and they stand behind them. Then the manager gets upset when you turn them into corporate office. They tell you you're allowed to rent things and return them when you cannot afford them. Then they get upset when you return them.

WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY!!! This company is deceptive, extremely disorganized & their employees lie. I signed a lease in order to rent-to-own a bedroom set. My contract stated the mattress would be brand new. They delivered a used mattress to my home and refuse to make the situation right by refunding the money I've wasted and picking up their used merchandise. They take payments even after payoff is complete until you contact them and tell them to cancel the payments. Also, they refuse even after illegally taking funds from you to give it back regardless of whether it is owed or not.

THE WORST COMPANY EVER. I asked a month ago to get my furniture picked up & the first person I spoke to NEVER told I had to email the recovery team to initiate the process I was told they would call me, called back 3 days after & they told I had to send an email & the person I spoke with no longer works there. So I emailed them I was speaking with someone from there via email & he told me it will take a week and a half I'm like okay fine. If I can give negative stars I would!!!! I've been making payments showed them bank statements and they're still harassing me. They are threatening to take my furniture, my son and I both have COVID and can't let anyone in our home. They come WITHOUT MASKS trying to take our furniture. Doug and Jose keep calling me, Tim ***** the District Manager for Rent-A-Center still has yet to respond to my email in regards to this store. I'm frustrated not only with COVID but with Rent-A-Center.

I have never received more harassing treatment than I have purchasing with rent a center. They stalk my home, call my phone 24-7, called my family all for a week past due payment of $25. I want to pursue harassment charges and based on the below reviews we should all band together for a class action suit until these people get through their heads at corporate, who by the way, isn't accepting customer calls. Nice crooked business dealings.
