The hotel, ambiance and atmosphere were top notch. The restaurant service and food were terrible.

My Husband and I decided at the last minute to drive to Cleveland on a Saturday for his birthday. We called the hotel about 4 hours before we arrived. We were able to book a room with no problem and for a reasonable rate. The Renaissance has beautiful architecture, friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very clean and the bedding was very comfortable. The location is wonderful, within walking distance from all the downtown action. Front desk was awesome and engaging. Everyone from the bartender to our hostess and waitor at breakfast to the concierge (ladies were absolutly lovely, you don't get that kinda of help with a map and directions) did a great job. Felt very welcome. I will recommend the Renaissance to my friends and colleagues. Only thing I was taken by surprise was $27.oo self parking fee in the hotels parking garage. This should be listed with fees at time of booking.

We have stayed here on several occasions and are taken aback each time by the high level of customer service! From the front desk to the maintenance crew, everyone is welcoming and it is obvious they are committed to guest experience. Having stayed at both the Ritz and Renaissance, we would hands down recommend the latter.
