Never again will I order from West Elm! I ordered an outdoor rug and matching pillows (for my back patio). The rug arrived and was poor quality - already unraveling - so I returned it without even removing the packaging. Like many of the reviews here, I placed an order in October of 2021. I understand the supply chain delays from the pandemic, but I had to reach out numerous times over the course of many months to get updates on the delays; they did absolutely nothing to keep me apprised of the status of my order. I ordered a Le Creuset baking dish on a sale on Nov 27, 2021. It was originally scheduled to be delivered on Dec 5th, but then got pushed to Dec 29th, and then into Feb, and then into April, and then May, and now finally they are quoting August. Note that this dish is still being sold on their website. They obviously take the money and run and you get these 're-schedules' so that they can skirt around any backorder limits on how long they can hold your money. I placed my order in September 2021. The console table I ordered was supposed to be delivered in February / March 2022. In March, the delivery date was moved to April 28, 2022. The delivery was scheduled between 8 am to 8 pm. I called Pottery Barn a day before delivery but could not receive any information about more precise timing. My experience with Pottery Barn, ****** this year has been an absolute nightmare!!! They have no respect for their customers. From keeping design center appointments to entering shipping information for items to the actual delivery of items is an complete mess. I have spent several hours on the phone with the store, customer care and chat. To make things worse their delivery truck tore up a section of my newly laid lawn. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I SPOKE TO ***** AT THE SHIPPING AND SCHEDULING DEPARTMENT AND SHE WAS RUDE, DID NOT CARE FOR MY CONCERNS AND EVEN LAUGHED AT ME! SHE WAS VINDICTIVE AND DID NOT CARE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS ULTIMATELY LEAVING ME WITH NO RESOLUTION!
Company will advertise a price for an item and then cancel if they realize they can make money off of it after it sells out. Shady business practices and do not recommend people giving them their business.
Zero stars! We purchased an **** reclining sofa in April of 2019. The back and seat cushions have lost most of their integrity. We sent an email to West Elm Customer Support to inquire about submitting a warranty claim. It seems like the cushions should have held up for more than a few years. After 5 emails back a forth and asking for a manager locally to discuss the issue, the company claimed that normal wear and tear claims can only be made up to one year from purchase. I ordered 2 sofas an a table in December 2021, and they were supposed to be delivered in March, then the rescheduled the delivery to April. I was supposed to received all them together last week, but after many follow **** I was told one piece returned back and a new order was placed on behalf of me for end of July which is incorrect.
