Wish I had looked up West Elm on BBB before I placed my order for an entryway bench. It has been a complete disaster. I won't repeat what others have said below as my situation is so similar to others I have read. DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

I had ordered a bed in January with Pottery Barn knowing they will not be able to deliver till May. When May came they delayed the delivery by couple of weeks, which I was fine with as those kind of things happen. Finally we were able to confirm a delivery date for white glove service. We had to get rid of old bed from the room as they had to come and install new bed, which we did. However when the installers started installing the bed they realized that there were wrong parts in the bed and they will not be able to install ... read more

I purchased a chandelier from West Elm. The store associate showed me the catalogue with several photos of the light from various angles. When I got home I opened the box and the light is not as pictured. This is false advertising. There is a huge cord sticking up out of the middle of the chandelier. Their catalogue is clearly edited to remove this cord. If they just showed accurate photos I would be able to make the right decision for myself. This cost several hundred dollars- they are trying to scam people into purchases.

Pottery Barn is the best at creating demand with their advertising, but the absolute worst at delivering on orders. I ordered a custom stocking for my granddaughters 1st Christmas. I ordered early October 2021 to allow time for shipping delays. Also ordered four kitchen items, three delivered- one still hasnt been delivered 9 months later. Pottery Barn has created a great little trick, every day the online portal moves delivery date to the following day, it does this every single day for months. I have had the worst experience from the start but the delivery side takes the cake. For starters after ordering I receive a delivery day set for three months out. In between waiting I receive two emails extending the delivery date into June. Five months pass I receive a email to set up a day for delivery. I set up delivery (there is no way to set up a good time.) so I wait I receive another email were the delivery company chooses a time for me. Pottery Barn should be absolutely embarrassed at their inability to solve even basic problems. I was in their ********* UTC store a month ago, and when ringing up my purchase, they were experiencing connection problems in processing payment. The transaction kept getting disconnected, and the cashier asked me to try again.....and again.........and again.........and again. I did so, and the next day I found that all the charges actually went through. I was charged four times for the same item. I assumed it was an easy fix, but... read more

In January ****************************************************************** the ready to ship section of west elms website. I noticed a couple days later that the ordered said shipped but also cancelled, I was confused so I contacted customer service turned out that even though it let me order the whole sectional it was only for the right arm 2 seater sofa. Disappointed and frustrated are the only words I can use to describe my experience with Pottery Barn. I ordered multiple pieces of furniture months before my little one was expected to arrive. When I spoke with someone before placing the order they assured me I was ordering in plenty of time and that my items were not back ordered. Shortly after placing the order, they showed that the crib had been placed on backorder. All of my items arrival dates began to be pushed back. This company is a shell of its former self. I have had dealings in the last 6 months with Williams Sonoma and West Elm. Both were incredibly disappointing. My first was a purchase of a Breville food processor. The sales ladies had zero knowledge of any of the models, one had three different prices on it.
