Please be advised that I just recently visited the Quest Diagnostics located at 8279 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33144. I visited this location because I had an excellent visit last year with the phlebotomist Maritza. Today when I visited this lab as a walk-in, I did not have a positive experience. First of all, when I asked the phlebotomist for Maritza, she became offended that I wanted for her to withdraw my blood. She advised that she no longer works at this location. Charging me for lab work covered by my insurance and quest is saying my insurance denied payment because of wrong codes. My insurance company covers this lab work after I spoke with them, yet now quest is saying wrong codes! I'm not paying almost $400 for general health panel! Terrible company! I've had this blood work done before and paid a very small copay. Trying to get this fixed

Never again....this place is a scam! One visit they tell you what services are covered and what are not and the next they say nothing and send a bill months later. Customer service was a joke! Even got the manager on the line....it's obviously not hard to train a customer service staff when all they tell the patient to do is to call the insurance company because they work in a "call center" and don't know. Would definitely recommend doing labwork in your doctor's office or even with LabCorp...this place is TERRIBLE!

Enfield Office: My father went for a blood test this morning. He is not computer savvy but he tried his best to fill out the online registration to let the staff know he was there for his appointment. It broke my heart to hear about the treatment he received from the ladies that took his information. They were so demeaning, condescending and judgemental to him when he made a mistake. They made him feel that he was a burden to them and stupid for making a mistake on his birthdate. He felt stupid, intimidated and disrespected.... read more

They bill for extra codes that according to the insurance statement, they are not allowed by contract to bill for. This seems to be impossible to correct. I've called them, had my insurance call them and communicated by email and through their website, but they have not corrected the bill.

This company brings in 7 billion annually in revenue and it's easy to see why. They eliminate competition and inflate their cost. I was billed $160 for a bacteria culture $33 for culture typing (whatever that is) and $70 for antibiotic sensitivity. This bill came 13 months after services rendered. avoid going to Quest diagnostics at all cost because they're robbing people blind. every year following a physical my husband and I get routine labs drawn. every time our copay is $15 at any other lab company that we go to but this year my husband went to Quest and ended up with a bill of $74. when I called to figure out why the bill was so much, the supervisor I requested to speak to stated they billed for each test separately(I guess that's how they can get away with their inflated fees). of course the insurance companies ... read more

Very poor customer service with bill. Called and on hold 40 minutes. Talked to someone twice, about my bill. They claimed they filed with insurance. My insurance company says they never did! They are liars and deceitful! Don’t deal with them if you don’t have to!!!!

The WORST billing practices! I received a bill for tests covered by Medicare. I assume they thought they could get away with it because they had me sign an ABN (Advance Beneficiary Notification) stating I would be responsible if Medicare didn't cover the charge. I called about the bill and was told by the rep that indeed the charge was denied for medical necessity. Unfortunately for them, I worked in healthcare for 30 years and know how to interpret claims.
