Negative-Unfortunantly services were not rendred and the problem was not resolved after 2 visits. Their billing dept. needs to update their records in a timely manner and they need on site management to help resolve complaints. They dont know what to do if problems come up and according to those there have no athority to resolve anything.. and they are rude enough to try to phinegle money from patients. They’re harassing me to pay 250 dollars for a test taken last oct.they know damn well it was covered b Medicare and that my provider made an error when entering the proper code.im about to buy a condo in fla.and this stain on my credit will cause my mortgage through the roof and they could care less.
Quest Diagnostics does not advise you that they do not have self-pay discounts even when you present that information to them prior to their drawing your blood. The bill received was twice what other labs that accept payment up front charge. Customer service would not reduce our over $500 bill for blood work that costs less than $200 at other labs.
My primary care physician wanted me to get routine bloodwork done as part of my physical. The bloodwork was done with Quest Diagnostics. I was assured that this bloodwork would be covered under my medical insurance as it was a routine procedure. Unfortunately I still was charged by Quest. I had to call Quest to try to resolve the charge (which I think was due to improper codes used by my PCP) but the individual I spoke with was entirely unwilling to try to help with my issue. This company REFUSES to issue a receipt when requested. And INVOICE is not a RECEIPT. A genuine receipt is required for many insurance carriers and FSA accounts. This is an illegal policy. I also find customer service to be slow, uncooperative, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Obviously Quest doesn't care about doing good business, as evidenced by their terrible customer review rating and unaddressed complaints. I really don't think this company cares about their patients.
Will never go there again. Blood work done two weeks ago. Had an MD appt. today to go over results. Lab work was never faxed over. It's not easy to get an 87 year old out for appointments and it was a waste of time. Still waiting on hold on the phone to speak to someone. Awful service.
I was told by the Quest employee that the most I would have to pay for my blood work was $5. I told her I didn’t want to do the test if it would come back that I owed money later. The employee said “no, it says right here maximum patient will be responsible for is $5” and two other times said she gaurunteed I would not owe anything else. A month later I got a bil for nearly $250. I called to speak with their billing department. They reprocessed the claim with my insurance but again came back and said I owe $250. Went to Quest for lab work in February. I was told that I had a balance - after I was sitting with the plastic band tight on my arm - and if I didn't pay the full amount, I can't get blood work done. I told the lady I have never received a bill. She didn't care. She told me she can't go further in the system unless I pay in full. I paid with my credit card. Absolutely awful service. Had blood drawn last week. Results were supposed to be done for my doctor's appointment tomorrow, but of course they are not. Wasted a lot of time trying to navigate their phone system, but even when I got a human they apparently could hear me and hung up. Took two more calls, only to be told they don't have access to results. Said my doctor should call the provider line.
