No matter how you pay, at the doctor, with insurance, without, with credit card. One thing is for sure, Quest Diagnostics WILL send you a bill, regardless if you have paid for it, insurance covered it - it dose not matter. These greedy PIGS will always send you a bill for either the same amount or more, something ridiculous like $149 for an A1C test and claim its YOUR responsibility of the bill. Even though your insurance already paid for this $25 test. GREEDY PIGS. You WILL get tired of calling their billing department and ... read more

This company has no desire whatsoever to provide a good experience for the customer. It's a very long wait to actually speak with a person in customer service and practically impossible to get thorough to a local location. When I arrived, I asked the receptionist if she could verify that they received the blood work order fax from my doctor's office. She said I would have to wait until she checked me in. I politely pointed out that by then it would be too late to ask the doctor's office to fax it again. She still said I woul... read more

I am not sure how this company can even show an overview score of B-. I have been trying since May to get an overpayment back from Quest of $200+. I have spent hours on the phone, faxed over EOB's, etc. to no avail. When I ask to speak to a manager, no one is ever "available". My insurance company has also attempted to speak to them and they get the same response. I now have 2 bills that I am refusing to pay until my money is returned, and all of a sudden I am connected to a senior account rep. I plan to NEVER have lab work ... read more

The worst Company ever! this company never sends bills NEVER!!plus they send you to collections of course. these ppl sent me and my daughter a 3 yr old to collections for being incompetent leaches doing anything they can to purposely send you to creditors to ruin your credit. and by seeing all the other reviews I am not surprised, I just wish I Knew this sooner. I don't know how they are even in business still. I would give negative starts but they require 1 atleast.

Typical BS - I go to the doctor for an annual physical, they recommend a bunch of stuff like tests, the doctor tells me it should be covered all under my insurance, but my insurance doesn't pay everything they want, they don't check carefully enough, and even though I'm told I won't owe anything, I am stuck with the bill and the option I guess to take the doctor and insurance company to court or just pay. All involved should get a bad review; in my business if i tell a client what they will have to pay they pay that, if i ma... read more

I have to make customers AWARE of their horrible business practices. 1. If you pay over the phone, they charge you twice the same amount by "mistake" you call and it takes 4-6 to issue a refund. They can double charge you immediately but to give you your money back 4-6?? Do they really have that many claims to process??? 2. They have charged me for 2 tests that WERE NOT IN THE DOCTORS ORDERS, however doesnt matter how many time you call, who do you speak with, they will still charge it and threaten you to send it collection,... read more

This is just adding to the heap of reviews from people who feel that this company has acted unethically, unconscionably, and without regard to what makes a good society. This company preys on the weak. They charge exorbitant prices when you have insurance, knowing full well that whenever there is confusion or dispute, the costs will be passed along to the powerless consumer who has no recourse. It is absurd that routine tests should have prices that differ based on the insurance that you have. No other industry works this wa... read more

I have dealt with Quest Diagnostics for over 20 years. I am now with another care system here in Maryland that does not need Quest, as they do their own lab work right in their own building. Quest had in the past technicians that were not quite average in using the needles to draw blood, so therefore I rarely had the same technician twice in one year. Now they are into a new way to make money with coming back and billing both the health insurance firm and also sending our a bill to the customer. I was directed to go to Quest... read more

I went to my gynecologist because I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured. We tried to get to the source of the problem, and I asked for a hormone test. Quest Diagnostics ended up testing for a general health panel ($243), a lipid panel ($53), a bilirubin direct ($20), Vitamin D ($241), Vitamin B12 ($115), Folate ($127), GGT ($29), Fructosamine ($60), FSH ($135), LH ($135), Hemoglobin ($74), Iron ($26), LD ($24), Phosphorus ($19), Prolactin ($166), T4 ($150), and Uric Acid ($18). The vast majority of those tests have NOTHING to ... read more
