Hawaii approved Quest Diagnostics, and other Labs. for Covid-19 testing. Tested Friday 20NOV20, today is Wednesday. Quest failed, wasted time and money to all parties. Hawaii, should remove Quest Diagnostics from list. Called test locatiom, and found out others are having the same result...nothing.

Had to get a blood test right before I moved. In the predictable confusion, I received no billing statement. I was promptly sent to collections with no phone call or any other contact. When I tried to speak to a human being about the issue, I could not reach one. My covid test results were done through Quest, and because my name is being used for an account already, I tried to contact a human being to talk to about it. Same thing.

Awful, just awful. I made an appointment which they confirmed. I'm temporarily disable (due to an accident that left me with fractured thoracic spine, broken ribs and injured leg) and live an hour drive from the location. I got on time for my appointment but the place was closed. NO NOTICE, NOTING. Be VERY careful! The last four visits to quest, they have sent us bills for full amounts stating our insurance could not verify us as an insured member. For each incident we have; 1) called our insurance who told us Quest was given the correct member ID and told us the amount we should be paying, which of course was far less than the bills we received, 2) called Quest back to advise they were given the correct information and to fix the bill, 3) received another full amount bill at least once or twice prompting more calls an... read more

Inept Billing and Customer Service -- AVOID My daughter who is a minor had blood work done in February of 2019. I got a bill for $1,394.95 in March during Covid. I tried calling but couldn't get through to a person, but understood because everyone was learning to work from home, etc. I got a bill in April. I called and spoke to a representative and explained I had submitted the paperwork (to indicate I didn't have additional insurance). The claim was reprocessed and paid March 25, 2019. Beware! They charge you $75 for a lab visit “just in case”. We have insurance coverage that includes no cost lab work. They charged my husband $75 for a visit after “checking” our insurance, which was a lie. I called customer service and they said it was policy to preauthorize a card just in case. How is it that ALL of my doctors and other labs can look in the system at the co-pay for lab work but a company as large as Quest does not have that ability?? I arrived at Quest at 5575 South Semoran Blvd In Orlando Florida wearing Face covering at 2:45pm. I found the doors were locked and there were about 4 patients waiting in the Lobby. I politely knocked on the door, no one responded. After repeated tries a very upset employee showed up yelling at me that they close at 3:00pm. It was only 2:52pm. I have 2 blood work and received a bill for 256! Psa and Liver count. Normal cost from other local labs 39 for PSA and 39 for CMP. They charged me 148 for PSA and 88 For CMP! I will never use this company again. I call because I'm self pay and was told they don't do self pay. Rude and hung up on me.
