Ive been trying to get an oil change that they have to approve. My repair shop has been on hold three times for over an hour with no answer. So Ive tried 15 different phone numbers for a week and never get a pick up. I dont think theyre actually there, and have no employees. On 2/13/23 I took my truck to the shop as the check engine lights turned on. 2/14/23 the mechanic diagnosed that it was my lifters and I gave him the contract # and claims number to PMC. Our records show that we have called our customer several times and had to leave voicemail messages. Our Claims agent (K.W.) called on 2/17/2023 at 11:42 AM EST but had to leave a voicemail message. This matter then got escalated for a supervisor call and one of our Claims supervisors (J.P.) called on 3/8/2023 at 3:40 PM EST and 3/13/2023 at 9:53 AM EST and had to leave voicemail messages both times.
My was burning oil to shop they put claim in. Claim was paid. In between my next oil change my car was still burning oil. Not even two month later. Protect my car said return to shop. Shop stated that its still burning oil because it needs a engine. Which was over looked on the first check because a seal was leaking. Now I received a message saying claim denied it was same issue . This is a horrible company to have a warranty with. You take your car to the shop and no one ever answers call when you need to have repairs paid for or authorized. I was on hold for a total of 15 hours in three days and I have still not been able to speak to anyone or get my car repaired and they just took my monthly payment. Upon receipt of an online claim, one of our Claims agents will reach out to our customer's repair shop that same day.
I think BBB is operated by crooks a well considering nothing is being done about so many of the same complaints and PMC lame excuses for not honoring their service that we are paying and relying on. But this review is about Protect My Car. I have the same problem with being on hold for more than 56 minutes and each time I'm disconnected. I have been trying to reach someone at Protect My Car for 4 days. I sent my service records on Thu 3/2 and asked that my adjuster reach out to me when the records were received. On Fri 3/3 I tried calling Protect My Car and was on hold for over 1 hour before giving up. The automated system tells you to press "1" to save your place in line and receive a callback. Our agent (K.M.) left our customer's repair facility a voicemail at 9:10 AM, asking for a call back so that we can authorize our customer's pending claim. I have had a contract with them for a couple of years. Normally I can get someone on the phone to assist with using the services. I have not been able to talk to anyone to get reimbursed for a tow to the repair shop. I have the needed documents and cannot upload docs in the portal as the site informs everyone.
