Canceled could never reach them even to cancel so contacted my credit card company and advised them. Worst company ever. Never got my oil change

Business response:

PMC has not received any sort of a notification from our customer's bank, so his coverage plan (#******) has not been administraviely cancelled. Our customer can certainly send us a written letter of cancellation, which we'll be more than happy to process. If our customer is looking to receive a covered maintenance service, he can send his final paid invoice and proof of payment to Reimbursement@ProtectMyCar.com and include his contract ID number in the subject line of that email. Upon receipt, our Claims Department will pro... read more

Your company is the worst I've ever had to deal with. I need my truck fixed and no one answers the phones at this company. Wait times are 50 minutes plus. I still never talked to a person before I hung up. I will never recommend anyone to this scamming company. The first few months they were great and answered the phone but since covid I noticed everything went down hill.

Business response:

We apologize for our recent hold times. We've looked at your file and see no less than 17 prior approved claims on file. With that being said, the quickest way to start a new mechanical breakdown claim is to have your repair facility file the claim via our online portal, which we are currently using due to high call volume.

I have been trying to get a hold of them for months now for my oil change reimbursements. No one answers the phone; long waits. It's unacceptable but they faithfully take my monthly payments. Do unto others as you want them to do unto you.

Business response:

Our records show that our customer's last oil change ********************** was paid via a V-Pay virtual card on 11/25/2022 (on coverage plan #******). If our customer is seeking an additional oil change, she can submit her final paid receipt and proof of payment to *****************************************

I needed to cancel my plan because a family member needs help and I don't need my car because it is going to cost a lot of money. I called to cancel three times first I was on hold 1:30 minutes. The next time it was 45 and there was another disconnection. I have only been with a short time and I have a uneasy feeling that they are not going to give me my complete refund.

Business response:

PMC notes that our customer just purchased a coverage plan on 4/4/2023. We've forwarded her request to our Customer ********************** Department for processing.

Been trying to cancel ploicy cant get anyone on phone. I would like this months payment to be returned. I didnt pay it last month so i shouldn't have been charged this month. I'm very disappointed in the service.

Business response:

PMC has reviewed its customer's file (#*******, which is an "Ambassador Platinum" coverage plan for a **** ******* ***** Fe. Our customer was on a month-to-month payment plan. She is correct in that she didn't make her monthly payment in March of 2023 (we tried to run her payment 3 separate times, but each time it declined for Insufficent Funds). Having not received a cancellation request, her card was charged in April and that payment was applied to her missed March 2023 payment.

Having now received a written noti... read more

Their ******** ********** doesn't answer/return calls. Also, you can't even submit a Claim because the website is down.

Business response:

PMC's website is not "down". Our Claims portal (which is just one part of our website) is currently accepting claims from our customers' repair facilities. If our customer tries to file his/her own claim, they will receive an error message.

With that being said, it appears that our ***************** spoke with this customer on 4/17/2023. Our customer also spoke to our Customer ********************** Department. One of our Claims agents also left a detailed voicemail message for our customer at 2:41 PM on 4/17/2023.<... read more

I have been trying to file a claim for several days I call and I am on hold over 1 hour and 28 mins the call gets dropped. I call back and again im on hold nobody ever picks up.

Business response:

The most efficient way to file a mechanical breakdown claim during periods of high call volume is to have *********** facility file your claim via our online Claims portal. They'll need to submit the claim through the "Vendor" portion of our online portal. Please know that our customers are unable to file their own mechanical breakdown claims online.

This company takes my money and when its time for me to get an oil change or tire rotation either the maintenance company doesnt accept them or its like pulling teeth to get reimbursed so whats the point of even having this service if none will ever be rendered? For 3 months Ive been trying to get in contact with someone and have never gotten a real live person to assist me, the claims page has been down for months to file a claim and there is a dead end everytime you try to get reimbursement with no one to assist you scam s... read more

Business response:

PMC has reviewed our customer's file (#******* and notes that we have approved three (3) prior claims for this customer including two (2) prior maintenance services and one (1) prior roadside assistance call (for a jump start).

As our customer readily admits to stopping payment on her card, and our records reflect that she has not made her last two (2) monthly payments (due on 3/4/2023 and 4/4/2023), PMC has gone ahead and administratively cancelled our customer's coverage plan for non-payment.

Within the past week or so, my car broke down on the highway. I was eventually towed to a AAA repair service in *********, **. The service technician stated that he was unable to get in touch with Protect My Car (PMC) during this 4-hour delay before I was able to get back on the road again. So, when I finally made it back home 150 miles later. I decided to reach out to PMC for myself, the voice messaging system advised me to use the portal website. I reached out to the portal, and the "document upload" system has been down f... read more

Business response:

We apologize for any confusion as it relates to our online portal. Our online portal is for our customers' repair facilities to upload our customers' mechanical breakdown claims. This speeds up the claims process and limits the amount of phone calls necessary to start a mechanical breakdown claim. If our customer try to upload/submit their own claims, they will receive an error message (like the one that this customer is describing). We'd ask that our customer have his repair shop upload his claims documents via the "Vendor"... read more
