Struggle to get into contact with company. My contract was up mileage-wise before the March payment was drafted. I found my contract “card” to make sure my mileage was in fact over and once I got this I attempted to contact them many times with no success. Got to someone finally on 4/11 (Sam) and was able to get refunded for the April payment drafted that morning and was promised a refund for the March payment considering my mileage passed the coverage plan at the end of February. I put forth a down payment for an updated pl... read more

PMC notes that it did not receive this customer's statement until 4/28/2023 (despite it being posted on 4/23/2023). We see that our customer spoke to our agent (J.P.) on 4/24/2023 about this refund issue.

What I think about protect my car is the company need to hire more cs person to answer call without allowing paying members to only listen to their music or inviting said customers to their portal that is unavailable or to leave ur name and number with no return call so disappointed and the feeling of being scammed

Business response:

While PMC did not receive a copy of our customer's 4/20/2023 statement until the 4/28/2023, we see a note in our CRM that our customer spoke to one of our Customer Service agents (K.K.) on 4/21/2023 at 8:25 AM. During that call, our agent answered our customer's questions about oil changes and tire rotations and provided our online portal info and reimbursement instructions via a follow up email. Hopefully our agent properly addressed our customer's concerns.

I've tried several times to contact by phone never answers no matter which option you choose. They make sure to bill you every month but no live agents to assist you whatever issue you may have.

Business response:

PMC would like to assist this customer, but we are unfortunately receiving this review on 4/28/2023, when it was posted on 4/19/2023, so we have no idea if our customer's concerns have been addressed already and they are not clear having read this review.

I have been trying to contact this company I stay on the phone for 1 hour and a half no one answers then the phone hung up @ 3:30 and stated I'm sorry we are currently close and this was at 3:30 pm and the company closing hours are 5pm.??

Business response:

Due to high call volume, we have been using certain hours of the day to initiate callbacks to our customers and/or their repair shops. If you are seeking to file a mechanical breakdown claim, the quickest route is to have your repair facility initiate the claim via our online portal (portal.protectmcar.com). They can go in through the Vendor section and start a mechanical breakdown claim. We are also processing maintenance services via our Reimbursement@ProtectMyCar.com email. Not knowing the specific assistance that this cu... read more

The fact that this company is in business and still allowed for bill customers that they have no plans on assisting in the future. We need to come together and file a lawsuit to recover our monies that have been collected using the scam. The simple fact that you can’t even get the free oil changes should have been my first sign to run. I’m disputing all charges through my bank. Next I’m filing complaints with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. This has to stop My vehicle has been sitting in the shop almost a week wa... read more

Business response:

Has your repair shop tried to file a claim via the Vendor section of our online portal? That is the quickest way for them to start a mechanical breakdown claim. If you are seeking a maintenance service (i.e, an Oil Change and/or Tire Rotation service), we are currently processing those on a reimbursement basis. You can send your final paid invoice and proof of payment to: Reimbursement@ProtectMyCar.com. Please include your contract ID number in the subject line of any reimbursement emails.

I need help badly to cancel this I tried for over a week straight to noone ever answering except sales. Now I've been billed again even after getting a new card and having my bank try to block the payment. This is ridiculous. Customer name victor M. Please cancel this .

Business response:

PMC has cancelled our customer's "Select" coverage plan (#******* immediately upon receiving this customer's request on 4/19/2023. As a courtesy, we've also refunded our customer's last monthly payment of $92.60 that was run on 4/14/2023. Please allow 3-5 business days for that refund to be fully processed.

I've payments for 11 months with this company and when it came time for me to file a claim for a bad oil leak on my car they were almost impossible for me or the mechanics to reach. It took them more than 2 weeks with my car sitting in the shop before making numerous attempts to to talk to the adjuster before finding out they denied my claim. They lied and said that they sent me an email about the denial which they didn't. I was irrate and asked to cancel my policy. I've been on hold for more than 3 1/2 hours to cancel but I... read more

Our customer's vehicle was driven in to his repair shop for an Engine Failure claim that was filed on 3/28/2023. Our assigned Claims agent (M.T.) indicated the following: "***DENIAL SUMMARY*** The inspection came back and shows multiple oil leaks that appear to be long term and have road grime and build up all over the vehicle. This would fall under Exclusion: 3. Canceled could never reach them even to cancel so contacted my credit card company and advised them. Worst company ever. Never got my oil change

Business response:

PMC has not received any sort of a notification from our customer's bank, so his coverage plan (#******) has not been administraviely cancelled. Our customer can certainly send us a written letter of cancellation, which we'll be more than happy to process. If our customer is looking to receive a covered maintenance service, he can send his final paid invoice and proof of payment to Reimbursement@ProtectMyCar.com and include his contract ID number in the subject line of that email. Upon receipt, our Claims Department will pro... read more

Your company is the worst I've ever had to deal with. I need my truck fixed and no one answers the phones at this company. Wait times are 50 minutes plus. I still never talked to a person before I hung up. I will never recommend anyone to this scamming company. The first few months they were great and answered the phone but since covid I noticed everything went down hill.

Business response:

We apologize for our recent hold times. We've looked at your file and see no less than 17 prior approved claims on file. With that being said, the quickest way to start a new mechanical breakdown claim is to have your repair facility file the claim via our online portal, which we are currently using due to high call volume.
