Matthew was very early, chatting with my wife and letting her know what steps would be taken to ensure thorough inspection. I thought that it would be about 1 hour, but I took my bosses advice that 'If it took 45 minutes to 1 hr for the home inspection, I should look for another company". Not telling Matthew about this, it took almost 4 hours. He went through every part of the house with "fine tooth comb". I eventually told him, my wife and our agent and they all laughed. Very thorough both in diligence and explanations. Chris identified issues but also explained why they were issues and the potential loss if not corrected.
The Inspector did not do his job. He did not inform me all windows were nailed shut by brackets from the newly installed vertical blinds on the patio. The bathtub had a 2" chip on the inside. The toilet could not flush. the dishwasher did not work, the microwave had a large burn spot on the door and inside. He went as far as to stand by the bath tub and toilet area to prevent my getting close to the side by the bath tub and toilet. I gave him a good review on the first job he did for me. Hello Ms. Glaze, sorry you were not happy with our service. We make it clear windows are not part of a condo inspection, because they are maintained by the condo association. If they are to be included in your purchase, we ask that you inform us. As you know, we paid to have the small chip repaired as our guarantee said we would. Your 12 month old dishwasher did work the day of the inspection, surely we can't be blamed if a new dishwasher stops working. Chris was a detail-oriented inspector with substantial knowledge and documented a great report with videos and photos of major issues for a house of interest to me (with reccomended fixes).reccomended fix. I was able to use his findings to create a repair list for the sellers before agreeing to proceed with a home purchase. What a great asset to Pro-Spex, one of the best home inspection companies.
Matthew N**** did my home inspection. This is the first time I hired an Home Inspector. Based on what I saw I would say he did a great job. He checked everything and his report showed his recommendation of the things to be fixed. He is very professional with a great personality.
Dan of Pro Spex Home and Commercial Inspections was my chosen inspector and he was very professional and thorough. He took the time to walk me through all he inspected, explained to me all issues found, why those issues needed to be corrected and the potential consequence if the issues found were not fixed/corrected.
