This company it a total scam. I have rented a car for July (4 months from now) with conditions as DUE AT PICK UP. This is on the confirmation email sent by them. Now that I saw the charge on my credit card was made, I contacted them on chat and phone and they sent me a different confirmation where it says it was a prepaid reservation. After a multitude of bookings through Priceline.com, it is no longer a coincidence that the descriptions and quality of rooms match reality. There is a consistent pattern that even the most recent reviews on the website themselves seem to be false or the website is skewing the results. Also, why is it that I am not permitted to leave reviews of my recent stays? If I cannot leave reviews, how are other persons able to do so and where are the reviews coming from? After multiple attempts to change the hotel date with the reservation booked through Priceline.com they are unable to make the changes on their end. I have spoken directly with the hotel and they said they are 100% willing to change my reservation date with no additional charges however because the reservation was booked through Priceline.com they need to manually do so. The WORST travel company out there!!! How do they survive, I booked a trip with them, flight and hotel and realized 5 minutes later, that I had messed up the flights. Contacted their online help. Got a someone named Alex who assured me all was good, that I had 11 days to cancel. I asked if I could just change my flights and he said no, I had to cancel the whole thing. They don't even deserve a 1 star review. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Rude agents. Unreasonable processes and ridiculous hold times when requesting a supervisor. I have been going back and forth with them and their 'insurance' partners for 4 weeks to cancel a trip the same day it was purchased! They are NOT customer friendly and they do NOT work to help their customers!
I am a A+ rated BBB member for years with my business with zero complaints, but Priceline receive such a rating with all the expenses I incurred on a recent trip I booked through them. First flight from Nashville to Orlando rescheduled then two hours later cancelled. Purchased a 3 star hotel for 201 dollars. The deal was in return I get a random 3 star hotel after purchase. They gave me a Red Roof inn which they list as a 1 star hotel. I called and asked for help and they said that they think it’s a 3 star hotel. I feel scammed and would not recommend this service to a friend.
Priceline's name change policy is offensive. My girlfriend (at the time) and I bought airline tickets 9 months ago to try and get a good price (that is the mission of Priceline - "passion for making travel easier, more affordable and more rewarding for our customers") and, long story short, we got married sooner than expected and went ahead and changed her name (as is ritual in our church); Priceline absolutely refuses to change her name on the ticket.
