Called Priceline to modify a pre-paid hotel reservation due to cancelation of a concert. While speaking with CSR (children audible in the background) I was informed they could not modify the reservation but could only cancel it. When I informed them that the card used to make the reservation was no longer valid and no longer associated with the bank the CSR claimed there was nothing further that could be done. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. We booked our flights from ****** ** ******through priceline. The email was entered incorrectly when the booking was made and we tried to call them to fix it. Somehow, their system will not fix changes so after confirming flights with priceline we ended up in New York stranded with 3 kids because our connecting flight was cancelled and we were not notified. if you have covid and need to cancel your hotel reservations they will not allow it under any circumstances. very rude customer service reps.
Booked Trip at ******* *** *** ******Day of trip confirmed reservations with ******* ***. 2 couples drove 300 miles to destination to find that Priceline and ******* *** had sold 2room and forced 4 of us into one room 2 beds. Linens supplied in room for only 2 people and NO STAFF ON DUTY to get additional linens. Hotel and Priceline refused to fully credit stay. VERY POOR SERVICE FROM PRICELINE AND ******* ****
Do not use Priceline. We booked a car for three weeks and prepaid. I needed emergency surgery for which I had documentation. They would refund nothing and said over and over "if you look at the contract." We are senior citizens who had the opportunity to take a vacation for the first time in over a year and now the money goes to a billion dollar corporation and cannot travel the money. We had to cancel our trip to Minnesota due to an illness. I tried to do this online but was told I had to speak to Priceline in person. I called and was told i would have to wait for a call back. I did this and after about an hour I got a call. When told what the problem was she said I would have to speak to a cancellation team. I asked how long this would take and she said we will know after I transfer you. The whole process took over two and a half hours. Book directly with the car rental agency. I booked a hotel room thru Priceline. The site mislead me into booking a room at a higher rate than if I simply call the hotel and didn't even ask for a good rate. Then, my credit card was charged after I was told it was a "pay later" booking. Tried to call Priceline and no agents available. Pathetic. Finally got to a Priceline chat line and no apologies, not did the agent seem to care. Like talking to a robot. Now I have to wait up to 10 days for a refund.
Made a reservation online. Didn't even know it was with Priceline. Said it had a cancellation policy. I changed plans 2 weeks in advance. Called the hotel got a cancellation number. Was charged to my ******* *** card. Called hotel said they were never paid by Priceline. Called Priceline number . Got the runaround from them . Made a complaint to ******* ***. Found out they talked to vender. Got confirmation. Charged my card. Priceline is an awful company.
It is quite interesting how ***does not have jurisdiction to represent consumers with online businesses. Reason companies like Priceline have a free pass to take people's hard earned money.
