Our sweet Sunny has Mast Cell Cancer, and it is aggressive. Following PVSEC procedures, our local veterinarian faxed a referral to PVSEC on Friday 5.6.2016. Turn around is 48 hours for a call back. Even after multiple calls to PVSEC from my family and our veterinarian, PVSEC has not called back to even discuss this referral. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. Since it is clear we cannot delay treatment for our Sunny girl, and will now have to travel even further, we have secured an appointment with another oncolo... read more

I had an exceptional experience at PVSEC. What a top notch group of critical care vets, techs and staff!! I feel very fortunate to have access to this level of care for my beloved dogs.

What a fantastic resource we have in the Pittsburgh area! Our dog was thought to have a tumor by our primary vet & we were referred to PVS-EC. We were checked in at our scheduled time and saw the doctor within a couple of minutes of getting settled into the exam room. We saw Dr. Pardo and he diagnosed her with an Achilles tear, not cancer. He explained the pathophysiology of her diagnoses in easy to understand terms and answered all of our questions. He went over our treatment options, sat right on the floor at our dog's lev... read more

When we picked out "little monster" Stogie from the breeder we had been made aware that he was going to need surgery to remove a dermoid from the corner of his left eye... The breeder (a world renowned "wacko dog lady" who is INCREDIBLY touchy about anything with her dogs!) recommended PSVEC as did our regular vet... Having no experience with PVSEC or this type of issue, we had no idea what to expect. After the first visit, we were put at ease... Dr Gornik was exceptionally thorough in the explanation of what need t be done ... read more

I have taken my older terriers in for several different needs. The doctors are great, the support staff is excellent, and the vet techs are top-notch. My toy fox terrier had a large lung tumor removed by Dr. Compton and was treated by Dr. Erfourth. Five months later he is doing great! No more struggling to breathe! It is hard to say just how appreciative I am for the great care he has had.

Wonderful people! My husky had to have back surgery a while back. They were wonderful about the whole thing. They told me exactly what was going to happen, why she needed the surgery. They even took the time to show me her x-rays and explain. They set up a payment plan for me, once I provided the initial amount needed for the down payment. I had an almost 3 hr drive, and they were extremely helpful in working around my schedule. I experienced very little wait time in the waiting room. They called me with updates every day, s... read more

Today I had to make the decision to put my golden retriever to sleep due to compounding medical conditions. Dr. Kallem and the staff at this facility where very professional and compassionate. They even took the time to make a clay mold of my dogs paw before he was put to sleep. I could not be happier with the services my pet received today and I will continue to return to this facility for years to come.

We had the misfortune of having to seek emergency care Saturday evening for our gravely ill Labrador. EVERYONE that we had contact with was professional, kind and caring. They took our girl back immediately and had her diagnosed within minutes. Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our sweet girl. The doctor was wonderful and so caring. I believe her name was Dr. Dutka. Thank you for being there when we needed you. That facility is lucky to have you.
