Cannot say enough for their care and compassion during our pups chemo treatments and ultimately our final farewell. We will never go anywhere else for specialized care!
The staff, techs and doctors at this facility were beyond amazing. I had to put my sweet baby boy down yesterday and they treated him and my fiancé and I with nothing but respect and dignity. They even stopped his surgery and kept him under long enough for us to make it to the hospital to be with him when he passed. I can't thank them enough for their kindness through this difficult process.
Today may my least favorite 4th of July ever. We have been at the Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center since 3:30 a.m. We lost two of the three puppies and Amelia had to get a c-section to remove the final dead puppy. This procedure at an ordinary vet was half the cost but we had no…

A year ago we brought our 7 yr old dachshund to PVSEC with two ruptured discs in his back. His back legs were paralyzed. I was hysterical! What we got was top notch care from a professional and compassionate staff! Dr. Edward McKillop saved our Duncan and got him back on his feet in 3 weeks! They cared for our little boy like he was their own! Our regular vet told me we were lucky to have a facility like this in the Pittsburgh area and we counldn't agree more! Dr Kloonan & staff took such good care of my bunny Lucky during two different critical stays. .. A+++++
They saved my dogs life and helped give him the best care I could ever ask for during the long recovery period after his surgery. I didn't worry for one second the entire 3+ month time that Cooper received care there because I knew they were treating him as if he were their own dog. They were so beyond comforting and I would absolutely recommend their staff and services to anyone who wants top notch care.
They are the the Best.. We had to bring our pup there for emergency back surgery. They are so caring and awesome. They kept us posted on her condition the whole time. Can't say enough about them!!!
We've been here a few times for various pet emergencies and have had amazing service. The doctors and all supporting staff spend time explaining the health issues and are very compassionate and kind.
