I have brought my cat Skippy to PVSEC off and on for 10 years. He had to have multiple teeth extracted due to stomatitis and has chronic asthma. The staff over the years have been very compassionate and accommodating towards me and my best friend. Feline Asthma is a horrible illness to watch as it progressively gets harder for Skippy to breath, especially when the seasons change. He gets a steroid injection daily and uses an inhaler twice daily but I am noticing that his inspiratory efforts are getting weaker. I am greatful ... read more
They saved our Norman, who was hit by a vehicle. Would highly recommend.
My dog received top quality care here. Wonderful, caring people ... Dr. Newman - thank u!
Best experience ever!!! They saved my dog. He had back surgery and even though it was such a horrifying and emotional time pvs made it possible for us to enjoy much more years with our frankie. Thank you if you have a sick animal do not go anywhere else but here they are the best.
Where veterinarians take their own pets when necessary. Pittsburgh is lucky to have them.
The best care anywhere! Will recommend to everyone I know!!
PVSEC saved my 5lb dog Pixies life, twice. First with a spine surgery in 2010, and a second time this past week with removing her lung, followed by a week in ICU, and a lot of close calls. Thank you to all the doctors, surgeons, techs, and the front desk for being so supportive and taking care of our Pixie!
This place is amazing. They did an incredible job with my dog Jasper's eye surgery to remove a benign tumor. it looks like there was never anything there. The doctors and staff are wonderful. It's incredible and reasonably priced. Any time I need a second opinion I'm getting a referral here! Also, I just recently had to take my dog in because other Vet's couldn't figure out what was wrong with him. Unfortunately it turns out that he has a terminal form of cancer, but they were so honest with me and very compassionate. It's a... read more
I would definitely recommend PVSEC. Dr. Anderson corrected a torn ACL for my dog, Mylo. Everyone was so kind. I know my Mylo isn't the easiest dog to work with, so it meant a lot that they were so patient with him. I also appreciated that the staff would regularly call to check in. Mylo is back to 100% because of Dr. Anderson and the staff. Thank you!
