Due to the coronavirus i keep telling mariner finance that i had not receive d my unemployment yet..there not trying to help anybody,but themselves>Ceo on down.They do not listen and they play games...Dont do business ever with these crooks.They don't HELP PEOPLE.

Unable to obtain payoff balance due to Mariner Finance locations open 1 day a week. When you felt like you've paid off the balance as provided on the website for Balance, you get hit with an unsuspected amount because the payoff amount is not listed. You have to call the branch location only on Tuesdays only to obtain the payoff balance and only which you must make the payment over the phone and get hit with a $6 fee for pay-by-phone. They are not willing to work with customers. Due to Covid people losing jobs and hours getting cut. The best they can do is let you take out another loan .Which you already have. Also you can Defer it but have to pay basically half of it to defer. Of course always make sure you take out the insurance to have covered in case you can't pay. After I'm back to work full-time. Will pay off and would not recommend them to anyone.

In this time of trouble, Mariner is the lender that I owe that did not wave their late fees. I'm very disappointed in them. When this loan is payed off I will not be back.

I thought, that this is good company, who in hard time, will help customers. My family right now living thru very hard time, cause of corona virus. I called to ask for help, since I have a loan with Marine finance. At first representative told me that I am not their client. Loan from Marine Finance, I pay monthly to Marine Finance. How I can be not their client. Secondly, I was offered, instead of help- apply for loan, to pay first loan, and after they can skip payment. How crazy and insane this sound? Straight up con artists and loan sharks, went to them for a deferral because of lost work hours due to coronavirus, the only option they would offer was to offer me more money to make a few payments ahead with, which would raise my payment in the long run. Then the guy told me that they were required by state law to charge a 31% interest rate, get a list of 6 of my friends and families phone numbers, charge me a processing fee and add their pricey optional insurance- Told me twice that was all required by state law, I walked... read more

Horrible customer service. If you are late, even for a medical reason they will not work with you and will call you and your family members relentlessly. Loan Sharks would be a better bet.

Their web site says great customer service, that is so far from the truth. I have been with this company for years and can't wait to get away from them 8 more months and I am done. Stay away from them, they suck you in and then treat you like crap. I wanted the lien taken off a truck that is going to the junk yard because it's a piece of crap and asked them to just do auto payments for the last eight months and they won't even consider it. Forget the 10 word minimum! I ALWAYS pay off my "same as cash" loans. I started with a different company "Personal Finance" and as other reviewers have noted Mariner came in to take over (but I still see Personal Finance on a recent email confirmation.) Evidently because they do not have an auto pay option (Watch out for this!) I evidently missed last payment. Mariner floods mail with advertisements.
