I went to Mariner Finance asking about a personal loan. After getting through the paperwork, they came up with the idea of taking over my car loan from the company who previously held it and giving me an amount of cash. This is the second loan I have taken out with mariner happy with the first so I took out a second loan. My credit isn't perfect but it's not terrible either but I was expecting a higher than normal rate so preceded with the loan and judging from last experience I did not take time to read everything they put before me. Well when i finally did look over the details they have me at 35% and the total payback on a less than 10,000 dollar loan was almost $19,000! I am not a math wiz but something isn't adding up!! I have been a customer of Mariner for the past 3 plus years. Originally my husband was sent a "mailer" which we responded to. At the time we lived near Lakeland, FL so we chose to go to our local branch in Plant City, FL. From start to finish the process was easy to maneuver through, the employees were very helpful, and ALL details about the loan and payments were explained in great detail (they were also outlined in the contract all you have to do is read before signing). I applied for a loan on 8/22/21 sent all documents in and signed a loan agreement detailing amount, months, and payment. It's now 8/27/21 I haven't heard anything from mariner, nor have I received any money. Starting to wonder if this place is a scam or what.

This company looks like a scam I get an email that says I am approved I send all the info and when I call them they dont even know what to say and tell me online department is a mess it is their fault stuff like that. They even run a hard credit check and signed a contract digital. Horrible waste of time

Me and my wife took out a loan with this shameful company known as Mariner finance they laughed at ourneed for the money And also saying that's up for the highest interest rate available on a personal moment 24%. Why can I NOT get in contact with anyone at Mariner Finance? The website gives a message "no longer able to handle this request" and all contact phone numbers give you a voicemail message with no return calls. Help!

Never again! Bad experience! The greenacres FL location put the company to shame. I took out a loan back in April 2021, and I returned within 6 days following their 15 days return policy. I was told. I needed to pay 1000 dollars another to close the loan, and a lien was placed on my vehicle. No apologies were given horrible service.
