Wish I could give a lower review than one star. I applied for an online loan but was no longer interested, they spammed my inbox with emails and require you to call a number to stop receiving emails. regardless of how many times you call that number no one will pick up and you will essentially have to leave a message. With a decent spam filter for your email this is probably not that much of a problem but for those who do not filter emails this would be very annoying.

I have a current loan out, but I cannot get any confirmation on my payments toward that loan. I have tried to check out my payment history and it never shows up and always tells me that there is an error. I have tried SEVERAL times to to contact my local branch but to no avail. I have left messages multiple times but no one is calling me back to check on the status of my payments. So first of all I would like to say that all of the credit apps I use say that this company gives me outstanding odds to get a loan to consolidate my only $3000 debt. You would think I was in $10,000 or $20,000 debt. I've gotten a loan before and it was so easy and simple and the funds were available the next day. I paid them off and that was the end of it. Mariner Finance bamboozled me with a bait and switch. I have a current loan of $4000 and applied for an additional amount a couple months later. They approved me for an additional $2300 and and asked for my car title to secure for the additional amount. I asked SEVERAL times , this is ONLY for the new approved amount of $2300 and I was told repeatedly yes, (over the phone and in person) until @ the closing of the loan. If I could give 0 stars I would. Someone apparently took out loan applications in my name. I have been texted and call incessantly by this company. I explained the situation calmly over the phone a few times before I started getting angry. Told me they were taking $200 out of my bank account for a canceled loan application that I never submitted in the first place. Horrible. A few years ago when times were hard I took out a 2nd lien on my vehicle. I was unable to financially make the payments and understand my part in this. However. I originally borrowed 3k. During this time my vehicle became inoperable and in my front yard. Honestly, if I could give the underwriters a one star I would. The staff at this branch was not the main issue. I applied for a loan last week and I was denied yesterday. I submitted so many documents and took time out of schedule to provide additional documents. I have had a credit card for 6 year now and the reason for my denial was no established credit. If I could give them "0" stars I would. Stay clear of this organization. Recently made a purchase using there 12 month financing and they have failed terribly in customer service. First, no information was received on my first payment until just a few days prior to payment being due. When I called about a week prior, they promised to send information, and never did. These people are like loan sharks. They are very ugly and mean with their customers.they tell you if you make a payment they will stop court proceedings. They say there will not be a court date . Then you don't go .And they add a laywer fee then you find out there never was a judgment against you. Then you make payments they never report those payments to credit bureaus. Then write off charge and you still have to pay them. Be very careful loaning money from this company.
