This is the worst company I ever encountered. When I pay them off I would not send my worse enemy to them. You have to triple up to pay these clowns off. My account online has one balance that seems to be the truth. They told me that is not accurate. When I call the attorney that is handling my account he tells me to call Mariners. I acquired a loan to help with cost of my cancer surgery. I had to have a second surgery and borrowed another 1500. At this time they tried to tack on another $1000 in added " insurances" and paperwork fees. They also put a lein on my car. At one point I made a $200 payment, which is more than my monthly required, and was told every penny of that payment was for interest. NOT ONE PENNY WAS APPLIED TO MY PRINCIPAL. I received a loan last year and today I attempted to pay off the loan in full. I was told, because I was going to use a debit card, there would be a $2.50 additional fee and my card would have to be run 3 times and charged the additional fee 3 times. The person that answered the phone and the "branch manager" were relentless and refused to help me at all. I applied to apply for a $1,000 loan as a self - employed which clearly states on the application in addition, I had applied to the location in napervile, IL . I applied the process started to well. I just received an phone call on today from the branch stating you do not qualify for the loan did not said the reason why in addition, Did not get not received no email. I just my credit report this week it was fair in addition, The manager was very rude yet snobbish . I asked why I was not approved and she hang on me.
My husband and I took out a loan with Mariner Finance, LL C, in October 2021. There was a major mix up on our end that we readily resolved. I had a loan with them several years ago and called for a payoff. I sent the money to pay off and thought I was done. Two years later I get a letter from that I have outstanding debt. I knew I had paid off the account. They told me there was a balance when I sent last payment of 8 dollars. So two years later they send me a letter and say I now owe 600 dollars for the interest on 8 dollars not paid over the past two years. I sent payoff amount and now I am being charged. My husband and I were approved for a $5000 loan and scheduled an appointment to come in to finalize paperwork on Wednesday, February 2. My husband was asked to bring in his ID, social security card and proof of income. I was asked to bring in my ID and proof of income. I would never purchase from this company again! The manager Erica and staff are beyond rude. I've spent a total of 30,000 for my trailer to only be treated like trash. Talked to with an aggravated tone. They're unwilling to assist you when you ask for help. I'm letting all my hotshot driver know to never do business with this company.

Borrowed $1200 to catch up on bills 6/15/2021, thanks to the pandemic..... As of today (02/03/2022), Inquired for a simple $500 loan for a car repair today, and by the time I wanted to close the loan, I became VERY uncomfortable. I hope they last..... I see a class action suit coming eventually if this company keeps up their antics. They seem to be loan sharks.
