Was given a contract that had built in products that added a extra year to my payment. When I said no was given another contract with out. Was never told it was a option. Fees will kill your chance to payoff contract quickly. They take advantage of people in a bad spot and make it worst

Horrible. This "finance" organization sent me a $1200 check CLEARLY stating that all needed be done is cash the check. I will receive a "welcome letter" and so forth. It spelled out the terms and monthly amount that would take effect when the check was deposited. Congratulations, because of my credit history, I am receiving this offer. NOWHERE does it state any other criteria. I deposited the check and wrote a few checks from the account. My husband and I have been with Personal Finance Company (now Mariner Finance. We refinanced yesterday and the experience was beyond terrible. They refinanced us at 36% apr which was absolutely insane considering our impeccable payment history with them over the years (never missed 1 payment). The loan rep who went over our paperwork was completely clueless about the loan and the specifics of the loan. Mariner Financial manager at their stuart, fl. office pulled by credit without my authorization and whe I confronted her on the matter she said it wasnt. I told her I was looking at the report and it shows hard inquiry. She said she would have it removed but its still on my report. Then today I heard from their south region supervisor to tell me whenever anyone inquire about a promotion we are applying for the loan, I and he knows thats not true. Ginger.

My experience with this company as of today has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I have been working with them over the last month or so to complete a Refinance on my current home loan. Almost two weeks ago the assessment was completed on the property. I had concerns about the value the assessor provided but was assured by my rep. everything was still ok. Last Year I accepted a check from Mariner Finance and deposited the funds into my account. I without fail made a payment each month ...At the End of November of 2017 I had a death in the family and on top of that had my credit card compromised. I contacted the local branch to make a payment and get my account straight and also instructed my bank to authorize future payments on my account. I received a check in mail, along with the stipulations regarding the payments. I thought it was a joke. I cashed the 2500.00 check with no hassle. I must say that I think the interest rate suck, but I have had no problems paying back the loan. I have not spoken with customer service, because I dont have to. I simply make my payment every month. I have recently started doubling and sometimes even triple my payment just to get rid of them, simply because I am tired of paying for money that I have already spent. I have had no ... read more

Filed suit against, was hospitalized and called to make payment and the very rude worker told me i had to listen to his garbage and could not make a payment. Sent email to try to help get this resolved and still 3 days and no response, also cannot even log into the website. Never recommend this loan company.
