Their customer service is the worst. They do not send statements, bills, or late notices and are quick to file judgments without trying to work out issues with their clients

A few years ago I went to Berman's Automotive on Reisterstown Rd in Pikesville MD (NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE) and they gave my car loan to several companies before I ultimately ended up with a "personal loan" that was attached to my vehicle. The car was a lemon and I eventually had to put more work into the car then the car was worth. I called Mariner numerous times to try and work out a deal and also have them come get the car. Do not get a loan off of these people! They harass you, they want references so they can harass them, and are impossible to deal with! They'll call you to set up a payment, and you'll have no choice but to set one up. They harass you at work, even if you tell them you cannot accept phone calls at work! If you hang up on them cause of work, they'll continually call you until you set up a payment with them! I got behind on my payments cause of loss of a job, and they filed suit with the magistrate...I made arrangements to pay ... read more

Got a loan from Mariner-most deceitful company I ever worked with-I was told I cannot get a monthly statement to pay from-I was told-you signed a contract we don't send statements-you know your due date just pay it-I requested a monthly bill to break down principal, interest and fees and was told they do not supply statements, just to send them a check monthly, I guess that would go on forever. They have deceitful practices I never know what I owe or what progress my loan is making. Horrible company

Received 3 phones today from 3 different people within an hour. We both are working. One person contacted my husband's employment where he told the woman he could not speak with her. She was very nasty and said she needed to have arrangements made now and she was not getting off the phone until he did something. My husband works in a warehouse and not allowed to accept calls. He was in the front office as they called him. She basically threaten him with legal action and taking his truck. She than hung up on him and contacted... read more

Mariner Finance has wasted an incredible amount of my time. I promptly submitted the necessary information they asked for. I was told twice that I was approved for a certain amount and only needed my paystub and license so that was sent right over. They were supposedly looking into whether or not I could finalize the loan at the branch closer to my work, for my convenience. 1 hour before the day ended and I was expecting to be on my way to that location to finalize the loan, I was told they needed my bank statement, so it wa... read more

dewitt ny office, i was a cosigner on loan with my mother with my car as collateral, she went bankrupt and would not talk to me about the anything other than make a half payment and they would we be in touch with me to figure out the rest after the bk, well you took my car, i told eric **** i would i pay the past due amount to bring it current and they want nothing to do it with it, i was lied to by your branch, they said my mother committed fraud and i dont have my car. i am husband and father of 5 and have had two pervious... read more

Very disappointed with this company. I took out a loan from them and was mistakenly happy. Then I added on $500 to my loan and somehome my loan went up about $2500. They told me I HAD to buy this other stuff to get the loan. I was tricked and fooled into so much debt and I wish I never had done business with them.

I just had the most rude, condescending conversation with your branch manager about my account. I called to make a payment and before I could even address that issue I was berated about how I don't know how to pay my bills, I'm a liar and basically made to feel like a piece of dirt. I admit that I am two months late on my payments and I have had every intention of paying them, however there is a thing called customer service and working with your customers when they fall upon hard times.
