What a relief, we were finally going to get to see specialist, Dr. Heather Galano, to evaluate a mass that was compressing on our pup's spine causing multiple deficits. Well, that's not how it turned out unfortunately, thanks to VCA Shoreline Veterinary and Emergency Center. Before the hour-long drive, our vet called VCA Shoreline 3 and 4 times to make sure the doctors and staff knew we were coming, that we just needed to check in to stay the night so Dr. Galano could see our dog for an MRI in the morning. Well, so much for ... read more

VCA Crocker charges 3 times more on the medications bought from them as compared to what you would pay if you buy it from a regular pet shop (Petsmart, chewy etc). NeoPolyBacitracin HC (gen) OphO 3.5g - VCA Crocker Charged - $31.50 Chewy Cost - $10.99
To be honest, I would've chosen zero stars if that had been an option. We've been taking our pets to Todds Lane Animal Hospital for over 12 years, even after we moved from Hampton to Suffolk. After our last experience 2 months ago, we are done with that place. We had an appointment for our cat's annual checkup. When I arrived at the animal hospital, I was informed that there were no veterinarians on the premises and that they would have to reschedule the appointment. When I asked them why they didn't call me in advance to re... read more

This place is awful. No one answers the phone for feedback and the hospital they've attached their name to is less than competent. If I could give negative stars, I would, but it looks like the current reviews also speak for themselves. I would not recommend this company for anything.
Business response:

We took the our senior dog in to be put down because of sickness and age, it was upsetting to say the least but what came after was even more upsetting when we were told that we were not getting his ashes. Apparently, Audubon Vet merged with VCA, which they never mentioned before hand, and we are being told that my husband checked off a communal cremation which he did NOT! When we asked them to send us the paper my husband filled out, we were told they did not have it due to the merger but regardless, the paper was filled ou... read more

I was with my vet clinic for over 12 years. They were there for me when I had to say good bye to my 16 yr old dog, they were there for me with my 2 pups and everything they went through. My furbabies are now just over 11. When it was a privately owned clinic the service, caring and compassion *** amazing. If my dogs were sick they made sure they got in right away and were looked at. With my old girl, they had her pretty much all day after I called in the morning. They did numerous tests and sadly discovered that she probably... read more

Since our local veterinary clinic was taken over by VCA, the average bill has increased by over 100%. The cost of draining my dog's anal glands previously cost $38-$48. The clinic now adds a technician fee of close to $50 at each visit resulting in a cost of $100 each time. If we didn't have a senior dog we would definitely switch to an alternate clinic. The veterinary care is good, I am happy to pay for the cost of care but this feels like daylight robbery.
Business response:

I think that the reviews about the VCA Vets are accurate. I called Tuesday September 20, 2022 to bring my pet in to have to be put down. She was my Mum's cat and I took over after I lost my Mum. She became my pet. This vets that I call I have been dealing with for over 10 yrs. with no problems whatsoever until this VCA came into play and did every pet owner wrong. I was told that day I needed to make an appointment to put my pet down. I am still in shock. How can any pet owner make an appointment to put their beloved pet to ... read more
