We were customers for many years, and I just received a call from collections saying that VCA had reported ** for not paying a small bill from over a year ago ************ has my cell phone, email address, and credit card number on file, yet they never once tried reaching out about monies owed. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of care our beloved dog and we as a family received at the ******** Blvd VCA facility. Vets were incredibly dismissive, and when we expressed sensible frustration as to why they could not provide us with answers to our dog's "mystery condition", they threw up their hands and said to wait for the tests. On June 5, 2023 I took my cat to VCA in **********, **.He had to be checked for a possible urinary blockage.One of the things that was done was an x-ray of the bladder.The charge for a simple x-ray was: $370!! Unbelievable!If you want to get robbed blind, be sure to go to this animal hospital.My total bill ended up to be: $709.70 just to have my cat checked out. I ended up taking my cat elsewhere for the surgery. VCA's charge for surgery: $4,000. My cost at another emergency vet hospital: $2,500.
I called with a complaint about strangers being allowed in the room while my animal.was being euthanized after I asked them to leave. The vet told them they can stay! The lady on the phone from VCA called about my complaint and laughed at me and told me I was acting like a 12 year old. They are rude, disorganized and disrespectful to say the absolute least.My ani.al was put down and this woman is laughing. Disgusting!

My pet was in excruciating pain and we went to emergency vet and was told he would likely need X-rays but could manage his pain on the current pain meds he was on. Called later in the day when he wasnt better and they told me I would have to go back to emergency because they couldnt fit him in. Called another vet and they took him immediately no questions asked. I took my dog for IVDD symptoms because the first vet was not aggressive enough In treatment. They did an X-RAY on April 11 th and said they would get back to me with the results. It is the 17th and the vet has yet to call to give me the information from the XRay, and follow up on steroid timeframe. I have called numerous times and am told she would call and never has! I have spent almost $700 and cant get a call! I will be going to a different vet!
WARNING DON'T GO HERE!! All around bad experience. We recently moved into the area and also got a new puppy. Very pleased with our initial exam and shots visit with the Doctor. However, downhill from there. About a month later in for booster shots, we were charged for another exam? Had our Maltese groomed and the groomer cut our dogs leg! Had are dog neuter at vca in Edgewater and he was sent home right away which we thought was odd .he was screaming in. Pain so loud that lady two houses down came to check on Him to makes sure he was ok .he was throwing up and not eating we took him in the next day and he was giving fluid snd sent home.
