Very friendly nurse but I do not recommend this place to anyone. We were told it was $150 to see the doctor and we left paying $603 with no diagnosis and no solutions. They play on your heartstrings while they request permission to perform services without disclosing the cost of those services. At the end you get a huge bill with no answers and only more suggestions to spend your money.
I tried a VCA clinic in a recommendation, and can say that I am unsurprised by all the reviews about price gouging. At the location I went to, the vets would regularly give my cat treatments I didn't ask for, that weren't necessary, and I never had a visit where the bill was under $200 despite the fact that my cat is completely healthy, with no issues whatsoever. If I could rate a zero star rating I 100% would! I'm writing this review out of serious concern. I do not want anything like this happening to anyone else. This hospital does not care about your animals health all they care about is your money!! Where do I start!? My cancer ridden cat is seen monthly. Since COVID I've spoken with a doctor once. Every time the tech calls to do her intake I'm asked if I have concerns, which is primarily her weight. She has lost weight at each appointment. The answer I got - maybe she pooped. I have been going to the same vet clinic for 20 years and usually saw the same vet. We had a great relationship with the vet and got good care. Now it is a VCR clinic. I still feel the care is OK because our vet is still there. However, I feel all they care about is money. When our dog needed his teeth cleaned we took him to a non-VCR vet and saved $200. Been a client for a few years now in the Everett, MA location. However, they are terrible now and frankly don't feel like they care at all. I understand the need to change due to Covid, but their lack of care is unacceptable. My new puppy (12 weeks old and 3lbs), got stung by a bee during normal business hours. VCA Lakewood Ca. refused to sell me dog food because I have my pet doctored at VCA Los Altos VCA Los Altos is a smaller facility and carries a smaller inventory then Lakewood but they told me I could go to Lakewood and get food for my pets first they lost my script and refused then they said they only supply food to clients that use there doctors they dont want cash because they dont want to give you your change they want it to be applied to your account as credit?I would look for another provider ,and I am I wish i coud giv... read more

We are sorry that the food you were looking for could not be provided. There is a nationwide manufacturer back order on many of the food products which is out of our control. While the hospital usually has enough stock to sell, they are unable to get it at this time. Since they are not a pet store, but a hospital, they must have the specialized diets for the patients they are seeing. We recommend you try a pet food retailer at this time.
