VCA Southpaws Animal Hospital in Fairfax worked with NOVA Cat Clinic of Arlington, Virginia, but multiple failures resulted in loss of our beloved black cat, Bagheera; and ONLY after several thousand $$$ of interventions. Took a kitten to VCA Weymouth. She just needed a couple of tests. Had to pay $475 before they would look at the kitten. She needed two minor blood tests and a little fluid. Sat in my car for 3 1/2 hours before finally being able to take the kitten home. Never again.

Office manager form VCA mission animal hospital, Alhambra, CA is practicing unethical toward patient medical record, very unprofessional and dishonest,. She called client, insulted over the phone and pretended she didn't do anything wrong. Brough up casually in the email regarding my pet's health condition and treatment plan without my consent. I have been waiting for my cat for SEVEN hours to get an ultrasound. They did not call me or give me an update until I called them at 3:30 pm. Then, I asked about the pet insurance claim that they stated they were going to submit at 11am. I suspect they had not done it yet, because 20 minutes later, I was still on hold. They were very unprofessional and mistreated my animal. As a doctor, I will be filing an ethical complaint with the BBB and the organization itself. Don't go to this hospital, they are rude, dishonest, unprofessional, and more importantly they are not to be trusted with your child.

Regarding the VCA Arboretum hospital in Downers Grove Illinois: My sister brought their gravely injured dog there last night and the office staff could be described only as Nurse Ratchet ("One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest) The doctors were compassionate *** caring. That office staff needs to go to empathy school. Doctors actually had to correct the office staff and allow my sister to be with her dying dog. It's not hard to be nice, people. I bring my pets to a VCA hospital, and I have loved every experience there. My vet is wonderful, and the employees at that particular hospital are top notch. However, the VCA website is an absolute mess. One of the reasons I chose VCA is for their partnership with Vetsource, which (allegedly) makes it easy to have prescription food delivered to your door. Stay away for VCA Warm Springs Animal Hosp. THEY WILL TRY TO *** YOU. In November 2019 my dog had a procedure done. and the cost was great $164. with prescriptions. I returned in July 2020 for the same procedure and the office was charging $533. NO WAY . I had the office remove the unnecessary charges. After the surgery my dog was sent home with out prescriptions. The following day I noticed signs of an infection so I called at 3pm, sent pictures knowing the office closes at 5pm. we adopted Leo a 7 week old kitten from HAWS a few weeks ago. The day after we noticed a limp. We took him for his mandatory 10 day vet at Waukesha walk in visit and we asked them to check it out. They recommend x-rays or to go home with pain meds and montior. We chose to take him home with pain meds and montior.
