DO NOT waste your time with this clinic!!!! They are driven by sales. You go in with your dog for one thing, and then come out with a PET CARE KIT that busts your head wide open with enrollment fees, monthly fees, late fees, cancellation fees.... They are a RIP OFF! MISLEADING! ONLY CARE ABOUT THE UPSALE!!! HORRIBLE!!!!
Business response:
Nance, we're disappointed you came away with this impression. We pride ourselves on always being transparent and honest with our clients regarding the pricing of our services and any recommendations we provide, so it's concerning to hear you felt misled in any way. Can you please provide us with the name of the location you visited, so we can connect you to the appropriate team members to assist you with your concerns? Thank you.
This VCA chain of veterinary services is a joke! I have been dealing with ignorant staff and doctors several times now and they never seem to know what's actually going on with my dog. I honestly have been able to diagnose and treat my 160lb Great Dane with due diligence of research than any of their doctors ever have. I recently found a vet in a private practice who ACTUALLY cares about the animals rather than taking excessive amounts of money from patients and it's incredible to see how much my dog's health has improved. I... read more

Brittany, although we are pleased to hear your dog is doing better, we do not take your disappointment in your experience lightly. We'd never want you to feel like your dog's concerns weren't important to us, and we hope you'll give us an opportunity to speak with you about this. Please email us at ********************@vca.com. Thank you.
I am beyond frustrated with VCA they charged unnecessary testing on our dog when you could plainly see his problem and we even stated to the receptionist what our dog needed to be seen for. They worded it just right to make my husband believe they had do certain tests or do a lot of other tests combined and didn't even give him the option to do just the one test that we already knew our dog had because he had it before. They said that they had no idea what was wrong with our dog and that is why they said he needed all those ... read more

Victoria, it's upsetting to read your review. First and foremost, we pride ourselves on always being absolutely transparent and honest when it comes to all our services. Our staff is not driven by any ulterior motives and is exclusively focused on making a positive difference in the lives of our patients. We'd be happy to speak with you personally to discuss our recommendations, so please feel free to email our hospital manager at ***********************@vca.com. Thank you.
VCA took over and ruined our vet of 9 yrs. We changed vets and they joined VCA and ruined that practice! We are now on our third vet who promises not to ever join VCA. VCA is a cold across the book over selling machine that no one should ever take their beloved pets to. Find a local PRIVATE practice...save yourself the tears let alone the money. Shame on you VCA.
Business response:
Betty, it's discouraging to read your review. Client feedback means a lot to us, so we welcome the opportunity to speak with you personally about your concerns. Please let us know which location this is in reference to so we can connect you with the appropriate members of our team. Thank you.
We contacted VCA to find another Vet because our beloved Cat has been suffering with severe skin issues around his face, ears and mouth. The previous Vet was charging us nearly 300 bucks every couple months to provide Prednisone and Animex Ointment for his ears. We took him in 3 times over a few months. As soon as we would run out of the steroid the inflamation would return, the Ointment did nothing. They were not helping me at all to figure out what the problem was all the while but the Dr. Just asked about the food and I e... read more

Steve, it's discouraging to hear that you've come away with a negative impression of our team. We understand the stress that comes with having health concerns about a beloved pet and can assure you that we're committed to doing everything we can to make a positive difference for our patients. We apologize if you were spoken to about your cat's condition in a way that made you feel uncomfortable, as that is never our intention. It's unfortunate your experiences did not meet your expectations, and if you would like to connect ... read more
We scheduled an appointment this morning at 10 AM at the Kaneohe VCA (located XX-XXX Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, HI XXXXX, United States) for our cat who has a an infection that he needs treatment for. We went for the appointment, called the desk, and were told by the receptionist, David, that there was no appointment, put us on hold, then said that someone must have erased the appointment. After waiting a long time, they took our cat in and I asked him to transfer care from my daughter to me. He said it was done and that they ... read more

Laverne, effective communication with our clients is incredibly important to us, so it's disappointing to learn that you do not feel like this was highlighted in your experience. We hope you'll give us a chance to speak with you to further address your feedback. When you have a moment, please email us at ******************@vca.com. Thank you, and we hope to hear from you soon.
beware!!! caves is a part of vca veterinarian hospitals which is run by the mars corporation, yes the same mars that sell candy bars and food products alongside pet products such as royal canin, nutro, iams and various other products. so if you love your pet and they were murdered by vca for their own greed i would recommend boycotting anything and everything that's related to the mars corporation. so be aware and don't forget to research where your products come from and who owns the businesses you spend your money at. my s... read more

PLEASE READ! Last night my puppy started throwing up, by the fifth time I called VCA Emergency Care and was told not to take her in since it wasn't life threatening. About an hour later I decided to take her in anyways cause she had thrown up 8 times, once there I was told that due to short staffing, there was no vet who could see her (there was one man at the waiting room, that's it) so they told me a tech would see her and they had me sign some paperwork (about my puppy, plus CPR agreement and costs). The tech saw her and ... read more

Maria, it's concerning to hear about your experience. Due to an increased demand for care, longer safety and sanitation protocols, and reduced staff, we are experiencing longer wait times and limited availability. We'd like to speak with you in more detail about your visit. Please let us know which location this took place at so we can connect. Thank you.
I have two cats which are treated as if they were my own children. I understand that during covid things can be tough and that staff may be short. However, I will NEVER take any of my cats to a VCA clinic ever again. Between getting check ups on issues only to be told that both of my cats are morbidly obese (they are 1-2lbs overweight for their size) and the fact that when they got their rabies shots I was told that they don't give the owners of the pets any paperwork or tags and having to fight just to get paperwork and tag... read more
