They charged me over 1.3k and told me my rabbit maybe has something up his nose. After three visits with VCA my bunnies runny nose wasnt getting any better so they suggested a CT scan of his had. They couldn't figure out why he wasnt getting better so they suggested the CT scan of his head. I took him for a second opinion to another vet and got the proper prognosis. My new vet did the correct test to see what was wrong with my bunny. For less than 400.00 my new vet treated him and saved his life. He in fact had a staff infec... read more

My friend went here when her 5 month old dog became lethargic. Upon arrival they made her wait in her car. They then told her she could either pay $3500 or basically watch her dog die. They would not offer her any sort of payment plan and she was unable to her pet insurance. They have been nothing but rude to my friend. Will NEVER be going back here or recommend any one to go here either. Horrible customer service

I am absolutely LIVID with the VCA in Downers Grove, IL. My cat has been in their care since 3/29 and after I sat in the parking lot in my car for 5 hours, they called me to tell me that they needed to keep her over night because of a few procedures they felt needed to be done. They told me that she had a fever and her breathing was a little off. They had done an x-ray on her chest and found a spot that they couldn't identify, so they wanted to do a ultrasound guided aspiration on the spot to try and identify it. I was told ... read more

Takes three appointments to get tests discussed at first appointment. Cha-Ching!?! In the meantime, my pet suffers with NO ANSWERS. Seems their priority is Money NOT the well-being of your pet. $400 paid already and STILL NO TESTS, Need a third appointment to Finally get the tests originally discussed. Disgusting!

I brought my dog to the location named VCA Knowles Central Animal Clinic on 27th Ave in Miami for bright bloody diarrhea and vomiting and they said they have no veterinarian on site. How do you have a 24 hour vet clinic and have no vet on site? Absolutely ridiculous. Accidents and emergencies happen for everyone, but at least have someone cover your clinic or close it and notify other clinics that may refer you. Ridiculous. Would give 0 stars if I could.

VCA Stoney creek put my cat on lifelong meds as the meds run out they won't refill unless i keep bringing my cat in and being charged huge dollars. My cat is fine with the meds and only needs the prescription refilled. It is extortion so they can rack up visit bills. Now my cat is going to suffer a horrible death and I have no money for my own food only the cats meds. After spending 1000s of dollars on food and meds they are red taping me and making my cat suffer and bleed to death over the forced visits. It costs a 200 doll... read more

I would rate a 0 if it was an option. I rarely complain about any company, but this "business" is so bad that I needed to warn people. They are a complete and utter rip off and scam artists. They told me the reason my dog had a bad scratch on his face was because he has a tooth infection and needed it removed. They did NO X-rays to confirm this and just scheduled a surgery date. The VCA boils down to one thing..... money. They act like they want to care for your pets and then after all is said and done you walk about having been charged hefty amounts of money everytime you visit. They take advantage of people who do not understand the different shots, medicine, etc.... and charge people far too much just to get their pets cared for. We signed up for care now through them and the tech did not properly explain how that program worked and now we are locked in and continue to get more debt everytime we ... read more
