I'm quite certain you'll probably come up with some lame story to cover for the horrific way this young dog trainer was treated at your store, likely spin it to make it her fault, when what you obviously need to do is fire this employee and start a great big diversity training program for the rest of your staff. Bah... your employees represent the worst Iowa has to offer.
Allowed to refuse service completely based off of racism?! I will take my business elsewhere and encourage anyone else who actually cares about equality in this world to do a same. A young black trainer of THERAPY DOGS was asked to leave and had the police called all because she was black. This is sickening.
Since when is it okay to ask someone to leave based on their race? Shame on you Petco! You will be responsible for your actions!

Not very happy with Petco grooming in Coralville today. I took my little Shih Tzu, Bella and my Shih Tzu\Pomeranian, Benji in for their regular bi-monthly grooming. As I pick up the dogs they tell me they can never groom Benji again. Well as far as I knew Benji was doing fine letting Jessica groom him because Dana was having problems with him. Well they have lost all my business all together. They would not be flexible on trying another groomer with him or anything. Dana was very rude and I am done there.
Employees need to educate themselves a bit better on their reptiles. Went to pick another crested gecko baby and was informed with false information about them, the employees were just guessing it seemed like. Luckily I did my research years ago and have had one for a while. Some people want their geckos to have tails...once crested geckos lose their tails, they are gone for good. I'm disappointed at the selection of parrot food and toys. They offer a good selection of lower end "bird seed" but not enough pellet food. They also have very little selection of large parrot toys, I have two large parrots and often times have to order toys online to get what my birds enjoy.
