DO NOT COME HERE!!! Words can not describe how furious I am with these dishonest people. I had taken my car in to get checked out as my check engine light was on and I needed to pass emissions. I had recently told them that I had my car scanned at auto zone and the only thing coming up was to change my camshaft position sensor. A couple weeks ago I took my car in to gave the water pump replaced. Seven hours go by so I call to get an ETA on when the will be done. The worker said they hadn’t started yet. I was super frustrated because they never called me to say, “hey we are backed up it could take a little longer” but they did call me to try to sell me an engine check. Avoid at all costs. Got our Civic's brakes replaced only to have them fail on the open road the following week, then went back in and they said they'd "fixed" the problem. One year later, we took the Civic to Valvoline and it turns out Pep Boys had changed the pads but not the rotors, which caused immediate rotor degradation; now we need new pads and rotors once again for $300 more. Keep your family safe- don't go here!

I made an appointment over the phone to have old tires replaced on my vehicle. My appointment was for 5pm. I was there ten minutes prior to check in. The gentleman that helped check in my car explained it may be a couple of hours so I decided to go watch a movie with my kid. I left the movie three hours later at 8pm. I had to wait in the store, after they closed at 9pm, until about 9:50pm. When I was given my car, after I left I realized the pressure on the tires was COMPLETELY different in all 4 tires. I just went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Call me paranoid if you want but beforehand I wrote 1, 2, 3, 4 on my tires to see how they rotated them. After getting the service done and paying I went out to the parking lot and checked my tires. They were all in the same positions: 1 was still driver front, 4 was still passenger front etc. So I went back in and talked to Taylor the cashier/manager. The short story here is - DO NOT buy online from Pepboys. I placed an online order for 2 1 gallon jugs of DEF and 5 1 liter bottles of Mobil 1 ESP Formula 10w-30 oil. The package arrived and only contained the 2 1 gallon jugs of DEF. No oil in the box - even though the shipping weight on the box would have indicated that the oil was in the box (however the box was not big enough to hold the 5 1 liter bottles of oil and the DEF). I just had the worst service in getting a tire plugged in my life. I felt like the people had no clue as to what they are doing. I had made an appointment and told that I still had from 1 to 1 1/2 hours to wait. After I asked for my keys back they said that my car was coming in for service where it took them 35 minutes to tell me that I needed a new tire only after I inquired what the hold up was. I went in to have an oil change done on my 2012 Hyundai Elantra.... a week later I had to spend over $300 to fix what their service technicians had done, because the oil used had turned to sludge within a few days after service and could have blown my engine. I do not recommend this place for ANY type of service EVER!!

I'm so disappointed in Pepboys! I have been a loyal customer for over five years. I have always taken my car for every oil change in those five years. I have even purchased my tires from them. And now my car is totally ruined by their deceit. They have never changed my oil filter in all those five years as they were supposed to have done as part of the oil change. The last oil change they only put 2 quarts in my car and my cars engine is now damaged due to not enough oil in it and a rod is now knocking. I only had 94,500 mil... read more
