This is a review of Pep Boys in Panama City Beach on Front Beach Rd: There's nothing like going on vacation and having tire issues when you reach your destination. 06/29/19-06/01/19 Pepboys Burbank **** *Burbank Blvd Kevin is the Assistant Manager and is very unprofessional insisted that my car was ok after he reset the engine light that was blinking by going through my fuse box with his recorder. Then he calls me and tells me nothing is wrong with my car and it's ok to drive long distance and if anything happens I know where to find him. I was quoted $850 to change timing belt at 75k miles but was charged $1300. got 4 tires too. tires are ok but feel ripped off. verbal quote wasn't good enough. won't buy anything from them again. lesson learned. ouch.
Took van in due to smoke coming from right front brakes. They gave us estimate of $800 for front & rears brakes, front rotors and front calibers. When we went to pick up van, brakes were spongy and was taken back same day to correct which they did not. Plus according to receipt, nothing was done to rear brakes but they still charged us over $800. Anyway, picked up van after second time, brakes still spongy. I had decided to resurface my brake rotors at Pep Boys at Sandy Spring, Atlanta, GA and asked for a quote on how much it would cost to just resurface brake rotors as I had already changed break pads. I was given a quote of $20 per side. Then, I learned that the quote is $40 per side when I brought my car in. This is the Pep Boys in Pine Brook NJ. I made an online reservation for your baisic oil change. I went in and the person/manager did not ask for my name. I told him i would like a basic oil change and if they can plug a tire that has a slow leak. I get a messeage to call back, when i do he indicates I need four new tires do to dry rot. Thursday night I had the oil in my Explorer, that I have had for 2 months, at the Pep Boys in ****** ****, FL because I had a coupon. NEVER again! I drove to Kohl’s then headed home and my car died! I called my husband and when he got to me he checked and there was no oil in my car!! I went to Pep Boys at their Hamden, CT location because all I needed was to replace my worn out windshield wipers, and that's all I told the lady who was my CSR that I wanted done. I got all weather wipers which cost $25 and $24 dollars respectively. She said it wouldn't be long, she took my key and I sat down to wait. About a half hour goes by and she calls me up to the desk.
